More Than Time on the Table

At Reset Well‑Being Therapies, every treatment begins long before you lie down on the table and continues long after you leave.
The time on the table is only the part you can feel — the visible moment of care.
Behind it lies the quiet work that keeps everything calm, safe, and welcoming, so you can arrive knowing the space has been thoughtfully prepared for you.

Your treatment is a moment created just for you — warm, steady, and comforting, giving you room to let go for a while. It’s the gentle atmosphere, the sense of ease, and the care woven into every detail to help you settle and relax.

When you invest in a session, you’re valuing the whole journey — not just the time on the table. You’re supporting a practice built with heart, honesty, and a genuine wish to help you feel better.

Thank you for seeing the care and the unseen effort that makes every treatment warm and nourishing.

Your health and Safety Matters

Our treatment room is a calm, inviting space where you can switch off and feel supported.

As part of my ongoing CPD, I have to regularly review and update all policies to keep this space safe, steady, and welcoming.

Clear health and safety practices help protect you, guide good professional standards, and make sure every session feels comfortable from the moment you arrive.

🩷 LYMPHIES… PUT YOUR LEGS UP! 🦵⬆️

No, seriously. 😄

Find a wall.
Grab a pillow.
Get comfortable.

Because sometimes one of the nicest things you can do after a long day on your feet is simply…

✨ LET GRAVITY HELP. ✨

You may have seen the “Legs Up the Wall” position all over social media — but what is actually happening inside your body?

🧬 LET’S TALK SCIENCE!

When you spend hours sitting or standing upright, gravity encourages fluid and blood to spend more time in the lower parts of the body.

Your veins and lymphatic vessels have mechanisms that help move fluid back toward the trunk, while your muscles — especially those in your legs — contribute through movement and contraction.

Now change your position. 👀

When your legs are elevated, gravity is no longer working against that upward return in quite the same way.

That may temporarily help with:

💧 VENOUS RETURN
Elevation can assist blood returning from the legs toward the heart.

🦵 THAT “HEAVY LEGS” FEELING
After lots of standing, walking or sitting, some people simply find elevation wonderfully comfortable.

🌿 FLUID DISTRIBUTION
Changing position can influence how fluid is distributed through the tissues. This does not mean you are “draining toxins” or magically emptying your lymphatic system.

🫁 RELAXATION + BREATHING
If you’re comfortable, use the position for a few minutes of slow diaphragmatic breathing. Your diaphragm and normal body movement are part of the mechanisms that support lymph movement.

😴 A LITTLE NERVOUS-SYSTEM QUIET TIME
A comfortable, supported position combined with slow breathing can also be a lovely opportunity to unwind after a busy day.

🩷 TRY OUR GENTLE LYMPHIE VERSION

Lie comfortably on your back and elevate your legs against a wall — or simply rest them on a couch or pillows if that feels better.

Then:

✨ Relax your shoulders
✨ Unclench your jaw
✨ Breathe slowly into your abdomen
✨ Gently pump your ankles a few times
✨ Wiggle those toes
✨ And give yourself a few quiet minutes

There is no magic number of minutes required. Comfort matters more than chasing a social-media rule.

And Lymphies… higher is NOT always better. 😂
We are supporting the body, not auditioning for Cirque du Soleil. 🤸‍♀️

🚨 IMPORTANT

Leg elevation is a general wellness/comfort strategy — it is not a treatment for lymphedema, blood clots, heart/kidney-related swelling or unexplained persistent swelling.

If one leg suddenly becomes swollen, painful, red or warm, or you develop chest pain or shortness of breath, please seek urgent medical care rather than trying to manage it with elevation.

If you have a diagnosed medical condition affecting your circulation, heart, kidneys or lymphatic system, follow the positioning/elevation advice given by your healthcare professional.

🩷 LYMPHIE CHECK-IN!

Have you ever put your legs up after a long day and thought…

“OH WOW… I needed that!” 😮‍💨😂

Myofascial Release: When the Body Holds On

Your fascia is one of the body’s quiet protectors
It’s a soft, stretchy web that wraps around every muscle, organ and bone, giving support, structure and connection to everything inside you. It listens closely to your life — your movement, your posture, your stress, your emotions.

When overwhelm or pain builds, the body can slip into fight or flight. Fascia responds by tightening and gripping to keep you safe.

Sometimes it keeps holding long after the moment has passed, creating stiffness, tension or that familiar sense of being “held too tightly.
” It’s your body trying to protect you, even when the danger is gone.

How Myofascial Release Helps

Myofascial release offers a different message: you can soften now.
The touch is slow and steady, using sustained pressure held long enough for the fascia to respond. Nothing is rushed.
As the nervous system shifts into rest and digest, the tissue begins to melt and unwind. The protective grip loosens.

To support this process, I sometimes use cupping to gently lift and decompress the tissue, creating space where the fascia has been gripping.
I may also use a fascia scraper, a smooth tool that helps glide along the surface layers and encourage release.
These tools aren’t forceful — they simply enhance what the hands are already inviting the body to do.

Clients often describe warmth, spaciousness or a quiet emotional exhale — as if something inside finally let’s go.

Keeping Fascia Happy Between Sessions

I often give simple fascia “homework” — tiny movements that help your body stay open. Fascia loves slow stretches, soft spirals, gentle rocking and mindful breathing. These small actions remind the tissue that it’s safe to stay spacious, rather than slipping back into old holding patterns.

Why It Matters
When fascia relaxes, movement becomes easier. Breathing deepens. Pain softens. The whole body feels more connected and alive.

Myofascial release is a conversation with your nervous system — a gentle reminder that your body can return to ease and presence.
