Important Support Update for Young People

We have been made aware that, with immediate effect, PAPYRUS is no longer in operation. As a result, the HOPELINE247 telephone service and PAPYRUS website resources are no longer available.

We know that many young people and families have received support through PAPYRUS and may be wondering where to turn for help. If you or someone you know is struggling, support is available:

πŸ“ž Samaritans – 116 123
πŸ’¬ SHOUT – Text 85258
πŸ‘₯ Childline – 0800 1111
πŸ₯ NHS 24 – 111

Information about additional services for children and young people can be found on the Su***de Prevention Scotland website: πŸ”— https://su***depreventionscotland.org/support-for-you/support-for-young-people/

Please share to help ensure young people know where they can access support when they need it. πŸ’›

🧑 Su***de Prevention Awareness Week

Talking about su***de can feel difficult, but starting a conversation could help someone get the support they need.

As part of Su***de Prevention Awareness Week, we've published a blog that explores why it's important to ask the question, how to recognise when someone may be struggling, and where to find support and training.

The blog also includes information on local and national support services, resources from Su***de Prevention Scotland, and training opportunities to help build confidence in having these important conversations.

World Su***de Prevention Awareness Week

This week we are taking part in raising awareness of su***de prevention. Su***de is a topic that makes many of us nervous; it can feel like the hardest thing to ask someone about.

This week we are focusing on supporting people to feel comfortable to ask. Ask if you are worried about someone, and if you need support yourself, feel comfortable to ask for help.

πŸ’š Come along to one of our pop-up events this week to have a chat. We'll be sharing information, resources and details of local and national support services.

πŸ“ Scroll through the images for details of locations, dates and times.
