Superstars therapy is a private OT service for babies and children aged 0-19 years old. It is primarily a service for those who are based in Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. My names Kiran, I’m a highly specialist occupational therapist with over 18 years experience. 16 of these in paediatrics. I aim to offer a service that is friendly, supportive and flexible. Services available:

Assessments and specialist reports
School training, 1-1, group work
Recommendations and programmes...and much more

Today was my last session with a young person I’ve worked with for some time. He has made such progress with regulating his sensory system, and with his independence.

As I’ve slowly stepped back from working with older children to focus more on babies and The Baby Development Hub, there have been a few little goodbyes along the way.

He gave me a card and then, at our final goodbye, he simply turned and said:

“Have a nice life. You really deserve it.”

Honestly… that made me chuckle, at the same time melted me 🤭 🥹

Such simple words, but they really stayed with me.

I’ve learnt so much from the children I’ve worked with over the years, and I’ll always be grateful for the little reminders of why I love what I do 🤍

Baby development isn’t about fixing problems — it’s about understanding your little one and supporting their potential from the very beginning.

I’m Kiran, mum of three and an experienced Occupational Therapist, and I offer gentle, practical support for families across Hertfordshire. Each week, I will be running a small number of sessions designed to help you feel more confident and connected as you get to know your baby.

Here’s what I offer:
• Tummy time groups 
• 1:1 baby development support 
• Parent coaching (online for families anywhere)
• Baby massage 
• Sensory regulation strategies 
• Bonding and early relationship support

If you’re a parent, you’ll know how many questions pop up in those early months. It can feel like a lot to figure out on your own.

The Baby Development Hub is a gentle, supportive space for local families who want calm, practical guidance as they get to know their little one. With years of experience as an Occupational Therapist working with babies and families, I offer support that’s down‑to‑earth, sensory‑aware and easy to weave into everyday life.

Each week, I run a small number of sessions including tummy time groups, 1 to 1 baby development support, parent coaching, baby massage, sensory regulation strategies and bonding support. If you’re not in Hertfordshire, online sessions mean you can still join in from wherever you are.

✨ A new chapter ✨

After 14 years, my little business is evolving — and I wanted to share the “why” behind it.

Most of my week is spent as an NHS Neonatal Occupational Therapist, supporting babies and their families in those early, important days. It’s work I adore and always will. Babies, bonding and early development have always been the heart of my practice.

Superstars Therapy began when my son was born, and it grew alongside my family. But life looks different now. My children are older, my NHS role has expanded, and our family has been through a lot in recent years. The juggle of working with babies one day and all ages the next has become harder to sustain.

The landscape has changed too — with neurodiversity and sensory processing now widely discussed, it’s been challenging to hold the "highly specialist OT" space I trained so deeply for. None of this is failure. It’s information. And it’s helped me get really clear on where I do my best work.

So I’m choosing focus, not overwhelm. I’m choosing the work that feels aligned, evidence‑based and nourishing — for families and for me.

⚡Exciting announcement - "My super brain" therapy group starting very soon!!

Hello everyone, I am excited to be back on social media! 🤩

Recently, I have had lots of lovely families contact me to request OT sessions, which I have been unable to offer, due to capacity😔. HOWEVER, I do have the capacity to offer a fun activity based group called, 'My super brain'. This is a group for children aged 8-11 years at the Signing rooms, Hitchin. I will be running 2 sessions at the start of the summer holidays and will offer further sessions from September.

Who would benefit from this group?
⚡ Children who have motor coordination difficulties - appear clumsy, poor hand eye coordination
⚡ Children who like to move or fidget a lot - struggle to focus in class as they need movement
⚡ Children who slump and lean a lot - they may struggle to sit upright
⚡ Children who have difficulty with reading and writing - they may have trouble eye tracking or have reduced upper limb strength
⚡ Children who have difficulties with organisation and planning - can't find what they need, difficulty following 2/3 step instructions etc, forgetfulness
⚡ Children who have spikey emotional regulation - they may need some tools which calm their sensory system
