Why do I choose the Inverness Gentle Piercing System, especially for nervous clients and young children as an alternative option to needle piercing?
Because it's quick, gentle, hygienic, and over in an instant.
Yes, there is still a small pinch ear piercing isn't completely sensation-free but with the Inverness system, the earring is inserted instantly, meaning there's no prolonged pressure or slow piercing process. Before most little ones realise what's happened, their new earrings are already in place!
One of the biggest advantages of the Inverness system is that the piercing studs are specially designed with a much finer, sharper point than those used in traditional spring-loaded gun systems. This creates less trauma to the tissue during piercing, which often means minimal swelling, tenderness and redness. If there is any initial irritation, it usually settles very quickly.
Another reason I love the Inverness system is its sterile, touch-free design. Each pair of earrings is fully sterilised and individually sealed within its cartridge, never touching hands or even the air until the exact moment of piercing. This helps maintain a completely sterile procedure from start to finish.
I also choose to offer only implant-grade titanium and solid gold earrings. Unlike many traditional spring-loaded piercing systems that commonly use surgical steel or gold-plated jewellery, I believe in using high-quality materials that are kinder to sensitive ears and support healthy healing.
For nervous clients, children having their first piercing, or anyone looking for a gentle piercing experience, the Inverness system is my preferred choice.
