Six women, five words, and some heart-healing harmony. Surrounded by the Priory ruins, under passing clouds, at least four of us claiming we can’t sing. And yet, the beauty of our voices when we come together, find our true tone, and let it move through us anyway. This was so beautiful to sing and to receive, I wanted to share it with you too.

Lay It Down by the glorious Jody Vyner .uk of Singing Roots. This circle was held on Monday night, beautifully led by my dear friend Lucy who runs a bi-weekly singing circle in Lewes called Lightful Harmony.

There is a vast container of intelligence within you, a portal to any answer you seek. It pulses in the centre of your chest. Your work is to listen to it, attune your mind to the frequency of your heart. Let that truth bubble up and out; let it be known to you and vocalised without censorship. You are full of elements from stars, as life itself – right here.

You can use the heart’s response to check in with yourself about any decision you might be trying to make. Notice where the energy goes – do you spin out in doubt or confusion? Does the idea lift your energy and bring thoughts of peace, ease, freedom?

When we’re in crisis, we want nothing more than to feel better. We reach for change, find reasons for why we suffer. But we can sit with the suffering, look at the beliefs that hold the suffering world in orbit and ask those beliefs how true they are. We don’t need to suppress a thing, we can be grateful for every thought that arises; our arms open to sit with ourselves – to heal and work with our mind, rather than strike futility against it. That is self-love. Unafraid of anything our mind does, we gently, kindly, unconditionally offer our love to each thought. We invite our mind round for supper, sit with any belief that limits our experience and love each one back to truth. Nothing could be sweeter than flowing in harmony – knowing we can face whatever comes. Knowing that life is kind, the Universe friendly and our true nature loving. Wholeness becomes possible when we welcome all of ourselves to the table, without judgement or fear. We give ourselves the love we have been so hungry for.

Hello love ~ lots of new people have connected here recently, so I thought I’d introduce myself 👋

I’m a Reiki Teacher and Sound Therapist, mostly supporting women who are on the verge of answering a deep calling. My clients are often learning to trust themselves, to listen to their body’s innate wisdom and to be guided by the whispers of their intuition. My aim is to help you to embody your radiant soul while compassionately embracing everything that it is to be human. I’m very much in process too! I’m sure I always will be. I’ve learned that we never get to the end of healing, it just deepens and deepens until we find those crystals that sparkle so far underground that they make a light glow from within.

I’m currently training in Breathwork, a practice that has blown my mind in so many ways! I can’t wait to weave more wild magic into my practice by combining these ancient primordial tools for deep and lasting transformation. I love to support people in coming home to themselves and becoming free, so they can be their whole Self with unapologetic JOY.

Some things I love in no particular order: finding a new trail to explore on the Downs, floating like a starfish on a calm sea, the sound of my son laughing, tall trees, wolves, whales, peonies, circles of women, and the profound nourishment that comes from connection to safe, heart-led, inspiring people.

I have lived in the UK for more than twenty years, a direct product of immigration with a blend of Cretan and Swiss roots. I looked for a place where I felt belonging from the time I started walking and finally found that feeling of home here in Sussex. I’m loving life surrounded by velvety hills, community, the sea, and all the birds singing their songs.

Bathing in sound waves is a magical experience - ripples of movement can be felt physically as the harmonies bring up and out any discord held within the body. Meanwhile, the mind pauses and the heart opens, creating a sublime sense of inner expansion. Through the simplicity of deep listening, the sound exposes the ever-present dimension of stillness that holds all of life, like a silent canvas.

The space of communal peace created during a sound bath provides a beautiful healing atmosphere for realignment with the inner Being - a truly immersive experience of being held in togetherness and harmony.

I’m so delighted to be part of Sussex’s first wild sauna & floating sound bath! A collaboration with and Mama Nature herself.

90 minutes of elemental bliss at Swanborough Lake near Lewes.

You’ll be gently guided onto the float, supported by the water as you soak in the sunshine and birdsong aplenty. You’ll receive the crystal sounds as a wash of harmony, as I collaborate with the local frogs, birds, and even the odd cow to bring you into deep peace and inner bliss.

After you’ll move into the delicous warmth of the wood-fired sauna with its beautiful smelling essential oil infused woodiness, with the option to have a refreshing swim in the lake under the big open sky. We’ll have time to soak it all in as you integrate the experience with a delicous mushroom cacao and energy treat. All of this surrounded by the Downs and magical views of this gorgeous landscape.

I love teaching Reiki so much, and I especially loved the group that brought all their big, open-hearted energy to Reiki 1 on Friday. You’d think that on these courses, especially the introduction, that we would focus on energy, how it moves through the body, what Reiki is and how to connect, and of course, we definitely cover that. But the other things we tend to talk about are really deeply necessary to bring awareness to for our own liberation, for healing to truly take root and flourish - the way we live out of alignment with our own truth, the conditioning that keeps our truth hidden, and especially for women, things we’ve been socialised to do - to take care of everybody but ourselves, to people please and stay small. And... to hold in our pain as if it was wrong, to not let our tears out lest we be perceived as too much.

During the attunement ceremony, tears fell onto my hands from one of the students as I worked on her hands. It was so sacred, so intimate, and as natural to receive as falling rain. Then somehow, two students along in the circle, it happened again. As I shared this blessing of sacred life energy, I too quite literally received a blessing in return. Tears of beautiful healing, raining directly onto my hands from multiple people sharing a space of silence and pure connection.

This course in particular was just so deep and so beautiful. We talked about self worth, relationships and codependency, the link between hypervigilance and empathy, discovering authenticity, what different parts of the body represent in terms of emotional pain, the language of the body, what the body is trying to tell us. We explored how to hold our emotions, how to personify our emotions so they appear more innocent, and so we can actually listen to them. There are so many gifts in Reiki, and in the groups that I work with - it is this deeply beautiful journey of becoming more and more human. 

The more in touch with our soul that we are, the more human we’re allowed to be. I’m all for being human.
