The Everest Challenge is well underway! 🏔️

Since September, gym members have been pushing themselves as part of our biggest challenge yet!

For the first time, every gym user and every piece of equipment counts – whether that’s cardio, strength work or boxing. Even punches are logged, with one punch equalling one metre 💪

Six months in, the progress has been impressive. Most participants have passed the halfway point. With 40km and 80km routes available and a few taking on the up‑and‑down challenge – the summit is getting closer every day! 👏

This week, we’ve been celebrating the Chelsea Flower Show at Hanbury 🌸

Pupils had the chance to design their own flower displays. They chose their favourite flowers and explored how to arrange them in their own unique way. They also got creative with clay, shaping and decorating their own handmade flowers.

Activities like this help the young people explore their creativity and make choices in a supportive way. They build confidence and strengthen coordination!

It was wonderful to see their ideas come to life and their pride in what they created! 💐

Say hello to our new art room hoists 🎨

We are delighted that two new hoists have been installed in The Activity Place art room. They have been in use for just a couple of weeks now, but even during this short time, we have already seen the huge impact it is having.

The hoist will allow the young people to spend time out of their chairs in a comfortable setting, being able to explore freely in a creative environment.

This means that they can access a far wider range of activities and can communicate better through their art! 🌟

We’re proud to be taking part in 2026 at Chailey Heritage Foundation 💚

This year’s theme is – recognising that learning happens every day through experience, conversations, reflection, trying something new and supporting each other.

Across the week, we’ll be sharing learning ideas and resources, running colleague drop-in sessions, hosting dedicated manager development sessions and encouraging teams to capture and celebrate their everyday learning moments.
