In 2017 Idris had just told a magazine he was done with marriage. Done. Finished. Then he went to Vancouver to film a movie, took his only day off on a Sunday night, walked into a jazz bar — and there was Sabrina. She wasn't even there for him. She was playing wingman for her friend who had a crush on Idris. It didn't go as planned. He proposed in February 2018 on stage at a London film screening in front of the entire audience. They married April 26, 2019, in Marrakesh, Morocco — camels, fire dancers, dancing all night. Sabrina had one rule: Idris was not allowed to DJ. "When he starts DJing, he's gone," she laughed. Together they launched S'able Labs, a lifestyle brand, and hosted a podcast called Coupledom. Both UN goodwill ambassadors for agricultural development — two Africans using their platform for something real. West African meets East African. Luther meets Miss Vancouver. Idris: "I thought I was done with love. She opened me back up to the idea." Sabrina: "Idris is my best friend. I want to be around this guy every day of my life." Secret: third time the charm, a jazz bar in Vancouver, and a woman who showed up for her friend — and ended up finding her person.
