What a weekend for Team England at the World Agility Open Championships — bringing home BRONZE! 🏴🥉🥉🥉

A true team event like no other. Over 3 days, 23 runs, and 5 courses, every decision matters. The team manager selects which partnerships run each course based on tactics, strengths, and who best suits the challenge ahead.

Panache was selected for two team runs… and wow, did he make Nicola WORK for it 🤣🔥 Absolute full-send mode from start to finish, but they gave everything for the team and we couldn’t be prouder.

To come away with a World Championship bronze medal for England is something really special 🇬🇧🐾

⚡Ever had pain that just doesn’t add up?
Still hurting… even when things should be better?
👉 This could be nociceptive plasticity

Your nervous system can become:
🔊 More sensitive to pain
⚡ Quicker to react
🔁 Stuck in a pain loop
⚠️ What this means:
Pain doesn’t always = damage

You can have:
⏩Ongoing pain with no clear injury
⏩Pain that spreads or changes
⏩Flare-ups from small triggers

🛠️ What actually helps at Injury Mechanics we focus on:
✔️ Understanding your pain
✔️ Gradual return to movement
✔️ Building strength + confidence
✔️ Reducing sensitivity of the system

The goal:
🔉Turn the volume down on pain.
🧱Build you back up.

📩 If your pain isn’t making sense or not improving & let’s get to the root of it.

Recovery isn’t just for training....... it’s EVERYTHING in rehab and pain too.

We get it, pain creates worry.

“Have I made it worse?”
“Should I stop?”

But here’s the truth ⬇️

👉 A mild reaction isn’t failure & it’s often part of the process.

👉Your body adapts through stress & recovery, not avoidance.

Think about it like this:

Training breaks tissue down & recovery builds it back stronger

Rehab does the SAME thing

Pain doesn’t always mean damage & sometimes it’s just sensitivity

💡 The 48-hour rule After exercise or rehab:

A small increase in symptoms is OK

It should settle within 48 hours
If it does you’re likely in the right zone ✅

If it lingers or escalates then adjust, don’t panic ⚖️
🚫 This isn’t “no pain, no gain”
✅ This is smart loading

We’re aiming for:
✔️ Good stress (not overload)
✔️ Progressive overload (not boom-bust cycles)
✔️ Improved tissue resilience over time

🔥 The goal isn’t zero pain it’s better tolerance, stronger tissue, and more confidence in movement

So next time you feel a reaction:
👉 Don’t fear it
👉 Don’t ignore it
👉 Understand it

Listen to your body! It’s giving you information, not warnings of doom.

Some of you might know and some might not....

Before we became a collective & Injury Mechanics… I used to be Performa Therapy. Sorting bits at the new clinic in Leyland and I spotted this old questionnaire.

This questionnaire says everything about how I’ve always worked.

It wasn’t just forms, it was about understanding:
✔️ Your short-term goals
✔️ Your long-term direction
✔️ Your expectations from treatment

Because here’s the truth, if you don’t understand expectations then you either overpromise or underdeliver.

We’ve never done either.

From day one, it’s been about being:

🧠 Person-focused, not just treating an injury, treating you
📞 Support beyond the clinic, guidance doesn’t stop when you leave
📊 Evidence-based, not guesswork, not trends, just what works

Fast forward to now, and that same philosophy sits at the heart of the Injury Mechanics collective.

The name has changed.
The team has grown.
But the standard hasn’t.

Clear expectations. Honest conversations. Real results.

The Sheriff’s in town 🤠

Great to have Jim — the Sheriff of Lancashire — back in the clinic this week 🙌
After a successful year in post, it’s now time for a well-earned adventure… and we’ve been helping him get there the right way 👇

✔️ Moving better
✔️ Building strength
✔️ Staying pain-free

All geared towards an upcoming walking adventure in sunnier climates ☀️🌍
Jim’s been a long-term friend of the clinic, and it’s been a pleasure to support him not just through his role, but in preparing for what’s next.

This is what it’s all about — not just treatment, but helping people stay active, capable, and ready for whatever challenge they take on next.

More than just “rub a dubbers.”
