Now that we’ve finally Announced that Megan is returning to the dream team ❤️, we thought it was about time we shared everything she has been up to.

While Megan has been away caring for the adorable little Freddie, she’s also had a very big upgrade… she’s now officially Mrs Oxton-Smith! 🎉💍

A huge, huge congratulations to Megan and George on their marriage 🥂we’re so happy for you both. Wishing you a lifetime of love, laughter, and beautiful memories as your wonderful little family of three. Here’s to your bright, happy future together! ❤️

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Megan is returning from maternity leave! 🎉
Her first day back will be Tuesday 2nd June.

Going forward, Megan will be working:
✅ Tuesdays
✅ Thursdays
✅ Saturdays

She a has a few appointments available, so give us a call to book in if you haven’t already! 📞 We know Megan can’t wait to see you all and get back to doing what she loves most. 💆‍♀️✨

David

It is with immense sadness that we announce David's passing on 10th April 2026, following a short but courageous battle with MND. Age 65 years.

Devoted Husband of Paula. Much-loved Dad and Grandad, and a friend to many.

David will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

A service to celebrate David's life will be held at West Lancashire Cemetery and Crematorium on Tuesday, 28th April 2026 at 10.30am.

As David had such a huge impact on so many people, we kindly request that those attending the crematorium are family and close friends only.

Clients and the wider community are welcome at the salon from 9am, where they can pay their respects as the cortege leaves.

Family flowers only, please. Donations would be gratefully received to benefit MND Association and can be made via Matthew's marathon page https://gofund.me/efd15df34, the donation box in the salon or c/o the funeral director.

🤍 As a salon, as former clients, colleague's, we are absolutely heartbroken by the passing of David Thomas 🤍
A journey that spans many years, growing from client, to his oldest trainee in town, mentor, business partner and franchisee, but above all the most incredible friend. He has left a hole not only in the hairdressing industry but in all the lives he's blessed over the years. A laugh that could fill any room, an irreplaceable passion and talent, the life and soul of any party- and my what parties he held, our "franchise planning meetings" in various European cities...the list could go on and on but words will never be able to do him and his legacy justice.
We send all our love to Paula, Emma, Lucy, Matthew and Harry. You are constantly in our thoughts. Also to the David Thomas Salon. I am sure every single one of his current and former employees will continue to keep the David Thomas name alive, we will strive to do it the justice he deserves. We will continue to support MNDA as our charity of choice for the salon.
Thank you for everything David, you will be missed beyond belief.
