Beautiful 16inch dyed goat hide spirit drum crafted on an Ash hoop. Handle is Sweet Chestnut.

A very interesting name this one gave me! After a little bit of research I discovered that this word does indeed exist or is closely linked to Malagasy language. So that’s south east Asia area.

I love how layered the information is that drums hold. Just like us, they can have many energy aspects.

Mysterious, soft, yet strong feminine energy with this 14inch deer hide drum on a red oak hoop with a Labradorite crystal.

She evokes so many feelings within me, like the texture of sandy ground beneath my feet and the taste of salt in my mouth and wind in my hair. I see images of lifeforms growing, fungi like.

Or of patterns created from the wind blowing sand over the surface of the land and salty edged craters of evaporated sea.

What an amazing day I have had today up at Whitley Bay with the kind invitation of from and some of the people from her community.

A shamanic drum birthing day by the sea would not be complete without a trip down to the sea!

Glorious blustery day where the energy of all the elements could be deeply felt.

9 incredible new spirit drums came into the world today. Already so much loved by their Drum birthers. Each about to go on a wonderful journey with their new sacred tools.

What a blessing this work is!
