❤️ MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK ❤️
📆 11th May - 17th May

1 in 4 people in the UK have a problem with their mental health. That’s 25% of the UK. BUT people are still so afraid to talk about it. People are afraid to get help. People are scared of the journey that comes after being diagnosed.

Here is my journey. Maybe it will help someone feel less alone.

We need to be advocates and give people the support, we need to talk about it opening because it is so common to go through something like this.

It’s okay not to be okay. Please take 12 minutes and have a watch, share it if you think it may help someone, give your support!

This morning I did a workout that pushed me to the point of wanting to either drop the weight or quit. But I can’t even explain the support I felt from the guys at my gym! 🥰
I decided to do the Beirut Tribute WOD today at my gym at the RX weight, The 38KG felt more like 90KG and my body was shaking past exhaustion. 45 minutes of pure effort!!! Everyone was slowly finishing the workout and I still had a full round left before even getting to the sit-ups!
At 40 minutes I was still pushing through the cleans of the final round, my body in absolute bits, I knew I was the last person working and everyone else was cooling off from the madness they had just took part in. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I wanted to give up but instead I was chanted on by everyone in the class!
‘30 seconds and you pick up that bar Yazz!’, ‘Come on 5 more reps!’, ‘You’ve got this Yazz!’, ‘Push, keep your chest up!’, ‘Last round Yazz, Keep going!’
have the most supportive gym members! I may have only got to 28 sit ups but I would not have been able to do it if it wasn’t for the guys around me pushing me past the mental block and exhaustion! I am eternally grateful to be part of an exceptional gym that is filled with exceptional people! ❤️ @ Lincoln, Lincolnshire

Monday’s do not feel like Mondays anymore. No day of the week feels like it’s special 😂 BUT I am still ready and motivated for the week ahead!
I have a small feeling that I am gonna find out this week when I have to go back to work...DREADING IT! The shop needs to be ripped apart and put back together before we open the doors and being stuck in a building with no windows for 8 hours is not a vibe at all! 😖
We will tackle that when we come to it! This week I am going to:
✖️ Have fun with my workouts.
✖️ Enjoy my walks.
✖️ Do some more research on manufacturers for XAXXY.
✖️ Carry on being happy and positive.

🥳 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! 🥳
It’s my birthday today! Such a shame it’s in lockdown but that is not gonna stop me from having fun! 🤪
So far I have had pancakes and bacon for breakfast, done a lovely yoga/stretch session on Facebook live with and now I am gonna spend the rest of the day doing workouts, taking the pup for a walk and possibly drinking a copious amount of gin!
It is gonna be a strange birthday but it’s something to look back on and tell the grandkids! 😝 @ Lincoln, Lincolnshire

Porridge is one of my favourite things to have for breakfast ❤️

Good morning you sassy lot! A bit of a different post today because I never post food 🙈 anyway...porridge is literally one of my favourite things to eat in the morning! I love it because I get to experiment with different flavours AND I usually get a dose of chocolate with that! 🤤

This morning we kept it simple and this is how we did it:

⭐️ Vanilla & cinnamon protein porridge with dark chocolate, Peanut butter and fried bananas! ⭐️

⭐️ Place 40g of oats, 1 scoop of protein powder (I chose vanilla this time) and about a cup of milk into a saucepan and place over a medium heat hob.

⭐️ Keep stirring so it doesn’t stick to the pan, after about a minute add a teaspoon of cinnamon and continue to stir for another minute or two (depending on the consistency of how you like your porridge).

⭐️ Pour the porridge into a bowl and add dark chocolate chunks, a spoonful of peanut butter and fruit of your choice. I chose bananas which I sprinkled with cinnamon and brown sugar and fried in coconut oil for around a minutes!

It honestly is so simple and you can jazz it up however you like! I love porridge because its one of the only breakfasts that keeps me full and I can also throw all kinds of treats in there from cake to chocolate to even a whole cinnamon bun...yes I did that last week 😈🙊

Good morning guys! So the second photo I am posting popped up on my Timehop because last year I was questioning whether I felt confident enough to wear that bikini on holiday.

1 year on and my body has completely changed! I have gained weight (mainly muscle) which has meant my body has grown! BUT I am not questioning my confidence this year in this bikini! 🥰

Some days I do have a mini freak out about how my body has grown, mainly because some of my favourite clothes no longer fit 🤣 but I love being strong and I know I wouldn’t of been able to lift the weight I do without having to bulk up a little. This time next year I could be on a completely different journey, who know! 🤷🏼‍♀️😘

Yazz is a little bunged down today. Still feel like I am getting the flu, just came on my period (TMI but who gives a s**t 🤣), achy body from a mixture of illness and the gym...BUT MEXICO IS CALLING! 😜

I am working a 9am-6pm today and then I am gonna have a little workout to see if I can sweat out some of this ickiness before going home and having a bath. I reckon relaxation will be the key to me feeling better.
