Restore Pre, post and clinical sports massage & remedial therapy. Focusing on Prevention, Restoration and Rehabilitation

Sports massage is a deep tissue massage that aims to stretch tight muscles, stimulate inactive muscles and improve soft tissue condition. It aims to increase range of movement and therefore enable you to move your body more freely and most of all comfortably. Although labeled “sports” this does not limit its benefit to just athletes/sports people. It is something everyone should consider as it enh

ances performance, assists in recovery and helps prevent injury, so therefore benefits everyone. Massage therapy can also prevent or relieve "DOMS" delayed onset muscles soreness caused by training by encouraging blood and lymph flow throughout the body preventing muscle fatigue and generally making you feel better.

Dry Needling provides a fast effective route to pain relief, through the use of fine needles inserted into trigger points in muscles.

The needles pe*****te deep into specific areas within the muscles, to relieve tension and increase blood flow to the region. They can hit stubborn areas with precision, even when the source of pain seems to be buried deep and being inaccessible to massage. Relaxing these trigger points can release long held pain. Due to their exact anatomical location on nerve pathways, they can also reach the roots of referred pain.

Dry Needling can be used for conditions as:
• Muscle spasms and strains
• Acute and Overuse muscle injuries
• Repeated strain injuries
• Tension-type Headaches
• Neck & Back pain
• Sciatica
• Joint pain
• Plantar fasciitis
• Tendinopathy as Tennis Elbow, Iliotibial Band Syndrome (ITB)

Sports massage therapy is an excellent tool for athletes of all kinds, from elite athletes to weekend warriors and anything in between. The sports massage techniques are specific to the sport the athlete competes in, or the activities the individual has been doing, concentrating on sections of the body that are suffering from over use and that are stressed from repetitive and in many case aggressive sporting movements. Sports massage focuses on all soft tissues that are used in physical activity, including muscles, fascia, tendons and ligaments. The massage corrects any imbalances or issues that have occurred through strenuous and repetitive activity, injury or even sustained periods of inactivity.

But you don’t have to play sport to get a sports massage, as each individual and their needs are tailored to create a specific treatment.

Sports massage can be used as a technique to enhance preparation for an event and reduce recovery time to ensure you perform at your maximum during training or after an event. A tailored sports massage programme promotes flexibility, can reduce fatigue, gives improvements in endurance, aids in injury prevention and prepares the body for peak performance.
