💛 A little Holly update 💛

Holly was back on the day ward today for her bloods and weekly dressing change.

The good news is that her blood counts have continued to improve! 🥹💛

For now, Holly is having her bloods monitored while we wait for her next round of chemotherapy to begin. She'll have her scans over the next couple of weeks, and then we'll know more about where things are up to before starting the next cycle. 🤞💛

Dressing day is always a difficult one for Holly as it's something she really doesn't like, but as always, she absolutely smashed it! 💪🥹💛

And of course, no hospital trip would be complete without a visit to the £1 toy machine! 😂

Just look at what she came home with this time… an octopus! 🐙😂💛

Before heading to hospital, Holly even managed to enjoy the morning at school, which we're so pleased about. 🏫💛

She's definitely feeling pretty wiped out tonight though, so it's an early night and plenty of rest for our girl. 🥹💛

Neuroblastoma is a rare childhood cancer that many people have never heard of. Sharing information and raising awareness can help more people understand what children and families affected by it are going through.

💛 A lovely weekend for Holly! 💛

Holly has had a great weekend so far and has been busy with not one, but TWO birthday parties for children in her class! 🎂🎉🥳

It's so lovely seeing her getting to enjoy these normal little childhood moments, having fun with her friends and just being a six-year-old. 💛

And today she's party ready! 🎉✨

Daddy is on party duty today while Mummy is off to the match! ⚽️💙

💛 A very special surprise for Holly 💛

We were contacted by who asked if they could send Holly a little something… and honestly, we weren't expecting anything quite this amazing! 🥹✨

They created Holly her very own Pokémon binder, complete with personalised binder artwork made especially for her! ⚡️💛

And just look at the details… Pokémon, personalised artwork AND even Upsy Daisy making an appearance! 🌼🥰

It's so clear how much thought and care has gone into making this just for Holly, and she absolutely LOVES it! 😍

She can't wait to start arranging all her Pokémon cards and filling her new binder. 🃏⚡️

💛 A really positive Holly update 💛

This morning Holly was back on the day ward to have her bloods checked. We were expecting that she might need some blood transfusions, so we were prepared for another hospital visit.

But… her blood counts are looking really good! 🥹💛

Not only are they holding, but they're actually improving! 🎉

This is such encouraging news and hopefully a sign that Holly's bone marrow is starting to work better following her stem cell transplant earlier this year. 💛

And the best part? Once we were finished at the hospital, Holly made it into school for the afternoon… just in time for Fishy Friday! 🐟😂

She had such a brilliant time and, even better, managed to stay right through until home time! 🥹💛

And can we just appreciate how cute she looks in her school uniform?! 😍🎒

After everything she's been through, seeing her walking into school in her uniform, enjoying lunch with her friends and having a normal afternoon really is something we will never take for granted.

There’s nothing medical planned for the weekend, which feels amazing! 🙌💛

Over the next couple of weeks Holly will have her scans to see where everything is up to before starting her next round of chemotherapy.

For now though… we're going to enjoy a weekend at home and make the most of these little moments. 🏡💛

💙 Well… we had some big Everton news to break to Holly today! 😬💙

First, we had to tell her that Iliman Ndiaye has left Everton… and let's just say that didn't go down particularly well! 😂

BUT then we got to deliver the news that Jack Grealish is back in royal blue… and Holly was absolutely OVER THE MOON! 🥹💙

And this news brought back such a special memory for us…

Last Christmas, Holly was invited along with other children from Alder Hey to meet the Everton team. At the time, she was going through a combination of chemotherapy and immunotherapy. By the time the treatment had finished, she was completely exhausted… but that didn't stop her from being determined to meet her Everton team-mates. 💙

Some of the players came to meet the children, while others visited the wards. After meeting some of the team, Holly had one person in particular that she really wanted to meet…

Jack Grealish. 💙

So we waited… and waited… and eventually managed to catch Jack just before he got back on the team bus.

Holly was absolutely shattered, but the biggest smile came across her face when she finally got to meet him. 🥹💙

It's a memory we'll never forget.

So today, being able to tell her that Jack is back at Everton was pretty special.

Welcome back to royal blue, Jack! 💙

💛 Back to school! 🎒💛

Well, the summer holidays are officially over and today was Holly's first day back at school! 🥹📚

Last year, Holly missed this milestone completely. She was an inpatient following her relapse and receiving treatment, so being able to see her walking into school today felt incredibly special. 💛

Holly's school does something lovely for birthdays — children can go in wearing their own clothes on their birthday, or on the closest school day. 🎂👗

We gave Holly the choice and, of course, she wanted EVERYONE to know it was her birthday! 😂🎉

Although we did have to persuade her that her sparkly party dress might be slightly too much for school! 🤣✨

She managed a few hours at school and absolutely loved meeting her new teacher. 🥰 She even came home having drawn a fantastic picture of her birthday bouncy castle! 🎨🏰

This afternoon she's had a little rest after school and then enjoyed some games with Mummy. 💛

Last year, we couldn't have imagined how much we'd treasure something as simple as the first day back at school after the summer holidays.

After everything Holly has been through, we really do appreciate the little things.

The ordinary moments aren't ordinary to us anymore. They're precious. 💛

And today was one of those days we'll remember. 🥹🌟

💛🏃‍♂️ SAM IS TAKING ON A HUGE CHALLENGE FOR HOLLY! 🏃‍♂️💛

Sam heard about Holly’s story and wanted to do something to help… and WOW, what a challenge he’s chosen! 🥹💛

On Sunday 13th September, Sam will be taking on the Ultra X England 50K in the Peak District.

That’s an ultra marathon of 50km through some seriously tough terrain — technical trails, steep climbs and exposed moorland ridges, with around 2,000m of elevation! 😮‍💨⛰️

And this isn’t something Sam has just decided to do overnight…

He has been training for this for months. 💪

The dedication, determination and sheer strength he has put into getting ready for this challenge is incredible. 🥹👏
