We have exciting news - Welcome Me is expanding !!!!

Due to popular demand we are now able to open up 2 new sessions a week - one on a Tuesday afternoon and one on a Thursday morning.

We are holding an "Open Day" on Thursday 7th May from 9.30am to midday. If you would like to come along and see what Welcome Me is all about please pop in for a chat and a cuppa. You can come alone if you just want to check us out or you can bring with you the person you feel would benefit from joining us.

We look forward to seeing you.

It was St George's Day today, so we celebrated with a quiz about St George, we made some fire-breathing dragons and finished off with a game of Play Your Cards Right......... with the top score being 10 correct guesses in a row 😲
Do you think you could beat that?

A big thank you to the Crotchet Club member at GIFT Cafe Puddington who created this lovely basket of chicks to raffle off for our benefit. I am delighted with the donation 😀 though a little disappointed I didn't win 🙁. Always next time I suppose. 🤞🏼

🏇The WelcomeMe Grand National🏇
We had plenty of laughs this week hosting our very own horse racing event.
Horses and jockeys were coloured in and then raced on a very unique course 😁
(There are more photos and videos in the comments as Facebook won't let us upload videos and photos together 😔)

If you'd like to join in the fun we have, please get in touch.

We had a very enjoyable week at WelcomeMe.
Doing something as simple as painting or colouring can be so relaxing and so rewarding.
We painted plaster casts of Easter eggs, rabbits and chicks, and also coloured in loads of foam eggs to make some bunting to hang on our tree.

This week we had fun celebrating
🍀St Patrick's Day🍀

Sandy (one of our Thursday afternoon volunteers) got into the spirit of the day 😂
We played Irish tunes to do our Movement To Music to and then we had a couple of very competitive games of Fill Your Pot With Gold. This involved rolling a dice and covering the corresponding number on our pot with the correct piece of gold. The winner got a bar of chocolate and everyone else got a consultation prize, so there were plenty of happy, smiley faces at the end of the session.
If you'd like more information about what WelcomeMe is all about, please see the last couple of photos.

In honour of the Chinese New Year being the "Year of the Fire Horse" we created our own. It was a slightly challenging activity but, with the help and support of our wonderful volunteers, everyone managed to create their own unique Fire Horse to take home with them.

If you have read all the way to this part of the post could I ask you to please share this with every local Facebook group you are part of. Your shared post might just be the lifeline that someone needs xx
