Last week, Mayor Steve Rotheram paid a visit to BioGrads Wavertree Head Office to participate in a clinical trial aimed at securing regulatory approval for a convenient home-use Prostate Health Self-Test. The goal is to empower more men over 40 in the LCR area to promptly, affordably, and easily assess their Prostate Health and, if necessary, seek further consultation with their GP.

The test, manufactured by AccuBio Ltd, involves a simple finger prick blood sample lateral flow test, yielding results in just 10 minutes. With Prostate Cancer rates escalating, early detection and intervention are imperative to saving lives.

BioGrad operates three sites in Wavertree, Bootle, and Litherland, inviting individuals to join the trial and contribute to the accessibility of this crucial test for as many men as possible.

Today we had MP for Bootle Peter Dowd visit BioGrad to take part in our Prostate Health Self-Test study, aimed at approving a home-use test manufactured by Accubio. If approved this test will empower men over 40 across the Liverpool City Region to check their prostate health affordably and regularly and quickly take action with their GP if they receive a positive result.

If you would like to take part in this study and contribute to getting this test made widely available, you can join us via this link https://shorturl.at/azB36 . The test will only take 30 minutes in one of 3 sites - North Park Health Centre in Bootle or Sefton Road Surgery Litherland with Primary Care 24 or BioGrad in Wavertree. £25 cash compensation will be paid on the day for successfully completing the test

There is currently an amazing clinical trial happening right here in Liverpool!

Learn about your prostate health while contributing to the approval of this life-saving self-test for home use.

Participants who take part and complete the trial will receive £25.

The trial will last for 30 minutes and can be attended at one of three locations in Bootle, Litherland, or Wavertree.
