Angel Mums Fundraising 2026

Our group of Angel Mums devastatingly continues to grow, as more families face the unimaginable loss of a child to a brain tumour. This year, we are committing ourselves to fundraising throughout the entire year to support the Tessa Jowell Centres of Excellence for children, helping to transform treatment, care, and hope for families facing this brutal diagnosis.

Our first major event of the year is the Summer Solstice Walk, a 30km journey from dusk until dawn on 20th–21st June, ending on Holkham Beach at sunrise.

Unfortunately I cannot take part in this one, as we already have a walk set up for our personal charity, but many of the mums are.

I have put the link in my bio.

They walk in memory of all of our children, and for every family who has faced or will face this devastating diagnosis.

Brain Tumours remain the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40, yet historically only 1% of government cancer research funding has been allocated to them. Our children endured surgeries, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, painful treatments, endless needles and scans — with many given 0% chance of survival from the moment they were diagnosed.

We refuse to accept that this is the best the system can offer.

We raise awareness, campaign, and fundraise because no family should ever experience what we have.

Throughout the year, we will continue raising vital funds to support the Tessa Jowell Foundation and its groundbreaking work in paediatric Brain Tumour research, precision medicine, and compassionate care.

A few weeks ago many of you signed the Brain Cancer Justice petition calling for a debate in Parliament to increase research funding and give greater rights to brain tumour patients.

Having gained over 109,000 signatures a debate has been scheduled for 15th June.

Only 5% of petitions which cross the 100,000 mark actually get scheduled for debate so this is a huge opportunity for our voices to be heard.

After working so hard to get to this stage it is crucial that we have as many MP's as possible attending the debate. I know many of you will have had contact with your MP's, and any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Therefore we are calling on everyone to email your MP adapting the template in the comments section. Just copy and paste.
