Post-op care is not “just massage” and the stats prove why this space is growing.

With millions of aesthetic procedures happening worldwide, more clients are looking for educated, confident, specialist post-op support.

Recovery is not always a straight line. 😔

These photos show the journey of my client following a 360 tummy tuck after significant weight loss.

One thing I always tell my clients and students is that there is no exact timeline for healing. Every recovery is different and depends on so many factors, including age, health, lifestyle, aftercare, and the body’s own healing response.

This client experienced some complications in the early stages of recovery. Thankfully, she had an amazing surgeon who monitored her closely, managed her wounds, dressings, aspirations, and stepped in quickly when a small revision was needed to prevent further complications.

After those early challenges, her healing started progressing beautifully, and we’ve now completed the first stage of her recovery journey.

This is why post-operative recovery is about so much more than reducing swelling or moving fluid. We have to treat the whole person. Physical healing, emotional wellbeing, nutrition, lifestyle, and confidence all play a role in achieving the best outcome.

Too often, social media tells people they’ll be back to normal in two weeks. The truth is, nobody can predict how their body will heal. Recovery requires patience, support, and trust in the process.

Watching clients move through these stages and seeing their confidence grow is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

And for therapists, being part of that journey is truly special. You’re not just providing a treatment — you’re helping someone rebuild confidence and achieve a life-changing transformation.
