Through conscious touch, sound, regression and nervous system work Massage therapies are ancient techniques created to promote health and well being. Each treatment is unique and enables me, the practitioner, to help you alleviate many physical, emotional, spiritual , energetic and mental ailments. They may also be used as preventative health care as many symptoms arise as a result of stress. A Li

verpool based practitioner, have chosen to learn a variety of therapies so that I can treat you holistically from head to toe! I became interested in becoming a holistic practitioner after suffering from a serious illness in my teens. I had always had an interest in Complementary Therapy and after using Western medicine for some years, I decided to try a combination of holistic therapies including Reiki, hypnotherapy and counselling. At this time I was advised that if I learnt Reiki I could also help myself to heal, which I did. Beth Hunt holistic therapist in Liverpool portrait

After two years of treatment, I was completely recovered - from something which I had been told was for life! I have been a Reiki practitioner for 30years now, reaching Master /Teacher level in 2004, and I love it. I have practiced all over the world, including Australia, New Zealand and New York. As a former support worker with people with disabilities (many of whom I treated) I have become adept at catering treatments to suit individual needs every session is bespoke. I treat each client individually - we are all different and deserve to be treated as such. The nature of holistic practice means you are treated as a whole person: during your consultation we will look at your lifestyle (e.g. digestion, family history and exercise) and I will suggest such things as stretches or vitamins if needed, which may help you. Throughout the year I am committed to a CPD (continual professional development) programme, attending regular seminars, workshops and share groups.

What happens when your identity can no longer contain your gifts?

I’ve been thinking about this a lot recently.

For much of my life, I’ve had a strange relationship with my own power.

I’ve felt it.

I’ve known there was something in me.

And at the same time, I’ve found countless ways to explain it away.

I’ve led from behind.

Made space for other people to shine.

Put successes down to luck or circumstance.

Attributed what people experienced with me to the Reiki, the massage, the sound, the meditation, the training…

Anything that allowed me to remain modest.

And there’s nothing wrong with modesty.

But I’m beginning to understand the difference between humility and refusing to acknowledge the evidence of your own life.

Because eventually, there is too much evidence.

People trust me with the things they don’t trust many people with.

They tell me the things they’re frightened to say out loud.

They allow me into deeply vulnerable parts of their lives, their bodies, their relationships, their shadows, their hopes.

People come back.

They recommend people they love.

They ask me to lead.

They ask me to hold spaces.

They tell me they feel different around me.

And for a long time, a part of me still wanted to say…

“Oh, that’s just what happens.”

I don’t I believe that anymore.

Recently, while co-creating and facilitating at Taboo Festival, I felt something shift profoundly in me.

I stood in front of around a hundred ish people.

I spoke.

I led workshops.

I held ceremony.

I tended fire.

I held difficult conversations and beautiful ones.

I helped hold a community alongside my co-creators.

And somewhere in the middle of all of it, I realised…

I’m not waiting to become this woman.

I’m already her.

Perhaps that’s what happens when your identity can no longer contain your gifts.

The old identity doesn’t suddenly become wrong.

She got you here.

The quieter version of me.
The woman who led from behind.
The woman who wanted everyone else to feel comfortable enough to shine.
The woman who was afraid that fully recognising her own power might somehow make her arrogant.

I love her.

I’m not getting rid of her.

But she isn’t the whole of me anymore.

I’m beginning to see that accurate self-recognition isn’t arrogance.

Sometimes it’s simply the moment when you stop arguing with the evidence.

And perhaps that’s what Eagle archetype is beginning to show me.

From the ground, we see isolated moments.

A workshop.
A conversation.
A client transformation.
An invitation.
A recommendation.
Someone trusting us with something precious.

But rise high enough and perhaps we begin to see the pattern.

The whole landscape.

And suddenly the things we’ve been calling coincidences start looking a lot more like who we’ve been all along.

I’m still human.

Still fallible.

Still learning.

Still laughing at myself.

Still changing.

Owning my gifts doesn’t require me to abandon any of that.

Maybe that’s the identity shift I’m experiencing now.

Not becoming bigger.

Becoming big enough inside myself to hold all that I already am.

And I wonder how many other people are standing at that same threshold.

Not needing another qualification.

Not needing someone else’s permission.

Not needing to become more powerful.

Just needing to stop making themselves smaller than the evidence of their own life.

And perhaps that’s why the timing feels right to open my mentoring space to three more people.

People who can feel that something in them has outgrown the life, identity or stories they’ve been living inside …even if they can’t quite see what comes next yet.

I won’t tell you who to become. I’ll help you create enough space to recognise what is already there, and enough hope and courage to begin living it.

If you’re reading this thinking, “I can’t keep living at this size,” message me privately. Let’s talk. 🔥

🎙️ FROM ILLNESS TO EMPOWERMENT

Well… this was a lovely conversation to have.

I was recently invited onto the Vision 100 podcast, a space for healers, free thinkers and people exploring different ways of seeing ourselves, our health and our lives.

And my episode 105 ; From Illness to Empowerment — is now live. 🔥

We talked about my journey, the experiences that shaped me, and how those experiences eventually became part of the work I do today.

About illness and healing.

About the body, trauma and the nervous system.

About the many different modalities and teachings I’ve gathered over nearly 30 years — and why I’ve come to believe that no single modality is the answer.

And about something that sits at the heart of everything I do:

Empowerment isn’t about giving your power to the healer.
It’s about being supported to recognise and trust yourself again.

It was one of those conversations that wandered into some really interesting places, and I loved being able to speak openly about the things I care deeply about.

So I’m rather excited (and perhaps a tiny bit vulnerable!) to put this out into the world.

🎧 From Illness to Empowerment — my conversation on Vision 100.

Have a listen and let me know what lands for you. ❤️
