Mobile breast screening unit is in Southport

The mobile breast screening unit is currently located in the car park at Splashworld. We are in the small car park next to the big blue slide . We are not in the same car park as last year.

If you park in the large front car park

- go to the brick changing facility to the right of the main entrance
- turn left and follow the path into the other side small car park
-mobile is on the left next to the blue slide

Local solutions Health and Wellbeing event

We spent a lovely morning on Boaler Street Kensington on Tuesday at the Local Solutions and Anfield & Everton Health and Wellbeing Event.

We were able to book mammogram appointments for some lovely ladies at dates , times and locations to suit them

If you missed your last mammogram appointment and would like to rebook, contact the breast screening office and book an appointment. We are currently screening at the following locations

Breast screening team at Makers Market Salvation Army Walton

The breast screening team are in attendance at the Salvation Army Makers Markert and Community Connect event this morning

Breast Screening Mobile Unit Southport

One of our breast screening mobiles is moving to Southport on Monday the 7th of September. It will be located in the car park of Splash World on the esplanade .

Women from Grange Surgery and The family Surgery are currently being invited for their screening appointments at this location.

Look out for your invite letter , if the appointment date and or time are not suitable , get in touch with the breast screening office to rearrange a new appointment

Women over 71 can self refer , contact the breast screening office to book an appointment.

Breast screening can detect changes in your breast before you can feel or see any changes .

A new month, a new school year, now would be a good time to start checking your breasts once a month if you don't already check them.

Received your breast screening appointment ?

If you have received your breast screening appointment please let us know if you:

-have a learning disability or mobility problems and need additional support, such as a carer to come with you

-require language line interpreter as English is not your 1st language

-have breast implants

-have a pacemaker or any other implanted medical device

-have had a mammogram in the last six months

-are under the care of a breast consultant

This information will help us to make the adjustments you need this may include booking a longer appointment or changing the screening location .

Breast screening unit Crosby library car park final week

It's the final week on site for the breast screening unit located in the car park next to Crosby library, the last day is the 28th August

If you have received your invite letter/text , please take this opportunity to be screened near to where you live

We talk to lots of women about their mammograms , some don't attend or they cancel their appointment as they feel well and think that the mammogram is not needed.

Sometimes screening finds what your body hasn't told you about yet. Staying informed and following recommended screening matters. 💗

The breast screening team will be at Bear Lea Green Field for the Bridge Community Centre Teddy Bear and Tea pot picnic on Wednesday the 5th of August.

Check your breasts on the First

Remember to check your breasts once a month, the first of the month is a good day to start.

Know your normal
