This is the kind of service all new piercings should provide!
As we approach the October school holidays, I'm sure there will be lots of little people asking their parents for a treat and maybe a little piercing or two.
While these 4 things above should be a part of any piercing experience, is it necessarily what you always get depending on where you get your piercing done??
I'm not going to mention specific shops who provide a "piercing" service but would urge you all if taking your kids to these places over the next few weeks to consider the following -
* How much training has the person had who is about to pierce you or your child?
* Is using something that causes blunt force trauma a good idea?
* Is the equipment being used sterile and is the environment clean and fit for purpose?
* Are you being given the correct information to then care for your new piercing, which is essentially a wound?
For example, never would I ever recommend changing jewellery in a cartilage piercing after 12 weeks! I can't believe I've just read that on one of the shops websites ๐ณ!
If you're visiting a retail shop for a piercing and answer No to any of these questions then I'd strongly recommend finding someone that can give you the reassurance about the service you're about to receive.
Watch this space for a wee special offer coming over the October break ๐
