Breast screening in West Lothian

The mobile breast screening units are coming to West Lothian in the next couple of months. During 2026/27, eligible women (aged 50-70 years) from your GP practice will be invited to attend breast screening.

Women invited for the first time or who attended their last screening will receive a letter with an appointment date and time. Women who have provided a mobile number and opted in to receiving messages will be sent an appointment reminder text by the South East Scotland Breast Screening Centre. Appointments can be rearranged or cancelled by contacting the Breast Screening Centre (0131 537 7400, Monday to Friday 9am-4pm).

Those who did not attend their last appointment will receive a letter asking them to contact the Breast Screening Centre to arrange an appointment.
