WHITBURN PHARMACY HAS BEEN REJECTED BY NHS LOTHIAN Pharmacy Practices Committee.

DESPITE THE HUGE LEVEL OF SUPPORT FOR OUR NEW PHARMACY IN WHITBURN FROM BOTH THE PUBLIC AND THE COMMUNITY COUNCIL, AND THE COLOSSAL LEVEL OF CRITICISM OF THE EXISTING TWO PHARMACIES IN WHITBURN, NHS LOTHIAN PPC (PHARMACY PRACTICES COMMITTEE) HAVE DECIDED THAT A NEW PHARMACY IS UNNECESSARY.

⁉️ WHITBURN PHARMACY HAS BEEN REJECTED BY NHS LOTHIAN PPC ⁉️

DURING THE CONSULTATION, WE RECEIVED A HUGE NUMBER OF RESPONSES VIA THE NHS QUESTIONNAIRE. 91% OF THE PEOPLE WHO RESPONDED FELT THERE WERE GAPS AND ISSUES WITH THE CURRENT PHARMACIES.....YET WE HAVE BEEN REFUSED? THEY CONSIDER THAT THE CURRENT SERVICES ARE ADEQUATE.

WE FEEL THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS AND DOES NOT REFLECT WHAT THE COMMUNITY WANT.

WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO APPEAL. WHICH WE FULLY INTEND TO DO SO.

Thank you so much for all of the support the whole community has offered on our Whitburn Pharmacy application. ☺️ We have been blown away by the level of support.

𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊 𝐘𝐎𝐔

The consultation period is now closed, a huge thank you again to everyone who took the time to complete the NHS Questionnaire 😁 We are now awaiting a date for a hearing to determine if we will be granted permission to open our pharmacy in Whitburn.

Please remember in the mean time that we already collect prescriptions from GP Surgeries for free and deliver to your home for free.

Welcome to our Whitburn Pharmacy page ☺️☺️ Please follow us.

We are currently in consultation with NHS Lothian to open a brand new, family owned, independent pharmacy in Whitburn 💊

We are a small family owned pharmacy group of three pharmacies based in Larbert, Denny and Plean and we really hope to open our brand new pharmacy in the community of Whitburn, to further enhance the pharmacy services already in the area 😁

We already deliver prescriptions to the Whitburn community from our Larbert branch every day.

Our proposed site is 68 West Main Street, only one minute from the Health Centre ✅ and we aim to provide services to all of Whitburn. If we are successful in our application, we will refurbish this building to provide a high end pharmacy 🙂

Our ethos as a small family group is to always go out of our way to help each and every customer we see.

Examples of the services we wish to offer include:

✅ Full prescription collection service from GP surgeries.

✅ Free Delivery service to every house in Whitburn and the surrounding areas.

✅ 24/7 Medication Collection Point.

✅ Quick, friendly and efficient service.
