Every year from the end of April to beginning of June I go through each Lavender plant looking for Cuckoo Spit or Froghopper nymph. Ever seen plants with what looks like blobs of spit? This is what it is. Mostly harmless but to growers they are a pest. Because they can and will damage Lavender stalks which will kill the flower heads. There will be a more detailed blog about this to come on the website.
