😥A lot of children and young people currently struggle with anxiety that then affects their day to day life such as going to school, relationships, and home life. The School Nursing Service along with a member of teulu môn will be holding th Triple-P Fear-Less course to support parents with a child struggling with anxiety. 🧩👭Following this weeks theme of connecting, the school nurses took the opportunity to connect with the staff on maternity. Social connection can protect health across the lifespan. It can reduce inflammation, lower the risk of serious health problems, foster mental health, and prevent early death (World Health Organisation, 2025).

🪵🍂 This week the school nurses will be focusing on taking notice. The nurses went for a walk in nature during their lunch brake and noticed the colour of the trees changing during the autumn. Take a look at our examples of things you can take notice of this week👀

🌻🧘‍♀️ Yn ystod yr wythnosau nesaf bydd yr nyrsys ysgol yn cymryd rhan yn yr her 5 ffordd at les. Mae tystiolaeth yn dangos y gall y misoedd oerach arwain at aflonyddwch yng nghloc y corff, gostwng ein hwyliau, ac effeithio ar y cemegau yn ein corff. Drwy sicrhau ein bod yn cyflwyno'r pum ffordd at les i'n trefn ddyddiol, gallwn wella ein hiechyd meddwl drwy gydol y misoedd tywyll ac oerach. Dewch yn nol i'n tydalen yn aml am awgrymiadau a thriciau, ac i weld sut mae'r nyrsys ysgol yn ymdopi â'r her. 💪🏼

🌈🌿 During the next couple of weeks the school nurses will be taking on the 5 ways to wellbeing challange. Evidence shows that the colder months can lead to distruptions in the body clock, lower our mood and effect the chemicals in our body. Through ensuring we introduce the five ways to wellbeing into our day to day routine, we can imrpove our mental health throughout these dark and colder months. Check back in regularly for tips and tricks, and to see how the school nurses are getting on with the challange. 💪🏼
