Temperatures are set to stay high this week, so it's important to take a few extra steps to stay safe in the heat. ☀️

🕒 Seek shade between 11am and 3pm
🧴 Wear SPF 30+ sunscreen
🧢 Cover up with a hat, sunglasses and loose clothing
💧 Drink plenty of water
🌊 Avoid jumping into open water to cool off - remember to enter the water slowly to reduce the risk of cold-water shock.

Please be advised that the practice will be closed on Wednesday 1st July 2026, between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM to allow for essential staff training.

During this period:

📞 If you require urgent medical assistance that cannot wait until the practice reopens, please contact 03000 844 000 to speak with a doctor.

⏰ For non-urgent matters, please contact the practice after 5:00 PM when normal services resume.

Information on MenB vaccination:
Please note that this will be offered by health board vaccination centres only and not by GP practices

Parent or carer of someone born between 01/09/2007 - 31/08/2008? Or are you under 25 but starting further education for the first time this autumn? ⬇️
From late July for a limited time the MenB vaccination will be available.
What to know:
✅ Two doses are essential for best protection
✅The second dose is given at least 28 days after the first
✅ Invite letters will be sent after 6 July for 17-18 year olds.
✅ Those turning 25 after 31/12/2026 who will be starting higher education for the first time, or who will be living in further education accommodation or halls of residence for the first time in Autumn 2026, will not receive a letter but should contact their health board after 20 July.
