Living with IBD can mean managing much more than Crohn’s or colitis alone.

Another health condition. Different symptoms that overlap. Multiple medications. Different specialists and appointments. And sometimes wondering which condition is actually behind how you’re feeling.

💬 Our next Gut Feelings online peer support group is about when IBD isn’t the only thing you’re managing.

We’ll be sharing experiences of living with IBD alongside other health conditions, the challenges that can come with managing more than one, and the practical things people have found helpful.

Whether you have plenty to share or just want to hear how others manage it, you’re very welcome to join us.

💬 Different days, different strategies: what helps you cope with arthritis?

What helps on a good day might be very different from what gets you through a difficult one.

Over time, we all build our own ‘toolkit’ of things that make a difference; whether that’s movement, rest, food, practical aids, routines, mindset, planning or support from others.

At our next Joint Conversations online peer support session, we’ll be sharing what’s in our toolkits, what we turn to at different times, and the things we’ve learned work for us along the way.

You might even come away with a few new ideas to add to your own.

Living with a chronic inflammatory condition can ask a lot of you emotionally, not just physically.

Looking after your mental health might mean talking things through with a counsellor or healthcare professional. It can also be the small things that help you cope with the ups and downs of everyday life.

People in our community have shared what helps them:

💙 Being kinder to themselves on difficult days
💙 Prioritising what matters when energy is limited
💙 Finding something they can do, rather than focusing on what they can’t
💙 Talking honestly with people close to them about how they’re feeling
💙 Noticing and appreciating the good days and small wins

There’s no single way to cope. Finding what helps you and noticing how your mood changes alongside your symptoms can be a useful part of looking after yourself.

You can also use My IBD Care, My Arthritis or My Derm to track how you’re feeling and find further wellbeing support.

This , we're recognising that living with an inflammatory condition isn't just about managing inflammation.

For many men, it's about finding ways to keep doing the things that matter, whether that's staying active, balancing work and family life, maintaining relationships, or looking after your mental wellbeing when symptoms don't go to plan.

Living with inflammatory bowel disease or inflammatory arthritis can affect every part of life, not just what happens in the clinic.

At Ampersand Health, we believe support should reflect that. That's why our apps are designed to help people better understand their condition, recognise changes, build healthy habits, and access trusted support for the whole person—not just the condition.

This Men's Health Week, here's to recognising every aspect of living well. 💙

Appointments often focus on symptoms, test results, medications, and disease activity. While these are important, living with a chronic inflammatory condition is about much more than managing inflammation.

Many of the biggest challenges can happen outside the clinic room, affecting relationships, family life, work, confidence, mental wellbeing, physical activity, future plans, and the things that matter most to us.

This week, our free, online peer support groups will be exploring these wider aspects of living with arthritis, Crohn's disease, and ulcerative colitis. Together, we'll create space for conversations that don't always fit into a medical appointment, while connecting with others who understand the realities of living with these conditions.

Whether you'd like to share your experiences, hear how others navigate similar challenges, pick up practical ideas, or simply listen, you're very welcome to join us.

This , we’re reflecting on the power of shared experiences, supportive conversations, and reminding people that they don’t have to navigate things alone.

During recent peer support conversations, members of our Ampersand community shared some of the small but meaningful things that help them protect their mental wellbeing while living with chronic inflammatory conditions; from taking things one day at a time, to letting go of guilt around needing rest, focusing on small wins, and staying connected to people who understand.

At Ampersand, listening to the lived experiences of our community shapes everything we build. From emotional wellbeing and symptom tracking to peer support and self-management tools, our apps are designed around the real challenges people face while living with inflammatory bowel disease, arthritis, and dermatological conditions, supporting the whole person, not just the condition.

If you’re looking for support, connection, or tools to help you better understand your condition and wellbeing, our personalised apps are here to support you. 💜
