What a ride. 💚

From sunrise pranayama overlooking the Andalusian mountains, tripping out in breathwork, silent mornings and countryside wanderings, to starry swims, tears, laughter, handstands, journaling, dancing and that banging closing party… my heart is so full.

This was my first retreat and I’m beyond grateful to everyone who came and trusted me with this experience. Thank you for your openness, kindness and the community we created together. You made it unforgettable.

My hope is that the sankalpa we set continues to ripple through your days in beautiful and surprising ways. And I can’t wait to do it all again soon.

If I could go back to my first ever yoga class, I’d tell myself these 10 things.

Because honestly, I made it way harder than it needed to be.

I worried that I wasn’t bendy, strong, chill, or good.

I thought everyone in the room knew what they were doing (they didn’t).

I thought taking a break meant I was doing it wrong.

Sometimes I still worry about these things.

But here’s what I’ve learned over the years — and it’s as much a reminder to myself as it is a note to any beginner yogins out there:

Yoga is less about performing poses and more about learning how to be with yourself.

That might look like:
– Lying in child’s pose when everyone else is flowing
– Breathing through frustration when your balance is off
– Trying again (or not)
– Asking the teacher what the hell trikonasana is

Flexibility might come. Strength might come.
But what really lands is the self-trust. The awareness. The patience.

So if you’re new, or just feeling new again, let this be your reminder:

You’re not behind. You’re not broken. You’re not missing the point.

You’re actually right on time.
