Today is day 3 of ESHRE, and Marianne is here with a quick recap of the day:

A great day at ESHRE2026. My standout sessions were on tailoring ovarian stimulation, particularly the data on delayed oocyte retrieval in patients with previous fertilisation failure and optimising oocyte competence in POSEIDON (low ovarian reserve classification) 3 & 4 patients. Exciting to see how personalised stimulation strategies continue to evolve and improve outcomes in IVF.

ESHRE is the Annual Meeting of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, and this year marks the 42nd Annual Meeting, held between July 5-8 in London.

Meet the LCRH Team: Dr Joanna Dear, Consultant in Reproductive Medicine (MBBS, BSc, MRCOG)

Dr Joanna Dear is a Consultant in Reproductive Medicine with 15 year’s experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

After obtaining her undergraduate degree at UCL, she completed her postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the North Central and North East London Deanery. Joanna then worked as a Consultant at Barnet Hospital with special interests in Hysteroscopy, Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology and Colposcopy before moving into Reproductive Medicine full time.

Joanna is committed to providing evidence-based treatment with a patient centred approach and is thrilled to work with LCRH, working alongside the dedicated team to help create new families.

“I think the whole time I’ve worked with Lynne, there’s never been the focus of targets, which I think is one of the biggest issues when you’re working in IVF, because if you’re working for a bigger organization, it’s more about number crunching.  You’ve got to get this number of cycles through. So with LCRH the focus is completely on patients and patient care and delivering, what we feel is an excellent service rather than, ‘we’ve got to get 20 cycles through the clinic this month’. To have that taken away, to have that removed from you, means that you know that you’re absolutely providing your best care for patients, which is lovely and refreshing.”

LCRH was founded by Dr Lynne Chapman. After gaining extensive experience working at the forefront of reproductive medicine in some of London’s most well known IVF providers, Dr Chapman decided to build a clinic that relied on both her clinical expertise and her own personal fertility journey.

Vitamin D is technically a hormone rather than a vitamin. Your skin produces it when exposed to UVB sunlight, and you can also get smaller amounts from food (oily fish, egg yolks, fortified products) or supplements. The liver and kidneys then convert it into its active form, which acts on receptors found in tissues all over the body.

It’s best known for regulating calcium and bone health, but vitamin D receptors are present in the ovaries, te**es, uterus, placenta, and pituitary — which is why it’s relevant in fertility care.

Meet the LCRH Team: Sarah Simoni, PA to Dr Lynne Chapman.

Sarah was an executive assistant to C-Suite executives in investment banking and technology for 20 years in London, Frankfurt and Dubai before starting at LCRH with Lynne when it was just the two of them.

In her patient liaison capacity, she is often the first person a new patient will speak to, and is passionate about listening carefully and providing a warm and friendly initial experience for them.
