Counselling at LCRH

Coral

Coral is a qualified counsellor working with adults in private practice. She trained as a Person-Centred counsellor and has gone on to integrate other types of counselling into her practice to best meet the needs of those she works with. She offers a warm, thoughtful and confidential space where clients can speak openly about the challenges they are facing.

Her approach is grounded in empathy, curiosity and careful listening, allowing individuals the time and space to explore their thoughts and feelings at their own pace. She believes that feeling genuinely heard and understood can be deeply supportive, and aims to provide a space where clients can begin to make sense of what they are going through.

Before qualifying as a counsellor, Coral worked as a media specialist in advertising and publishing, which gave her valuable insight into the pressures and demands of corporate life. Volunteering with charities supporting women and young adults, along with a personal interest in fertility, inspired her decision to retrain.

Chartered Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, Dr Louise Goddard-Crawley, has dedicated her career to the practice of fertility psychology. Today sees the release of her book ‘The Radically Honest Guide to Fertility Treatment: How to Navigate the Process and Take Back Control’.

Louise joined us for a Living Room chat about what readers can expect in this new edition of her bestseller ‘If Only I Knew’ (a book Dr Chapman has often recommended to patients). As well as talking about her book and sharing some tips on practical ways to navigate the Two Week Wait, Louise also recounted memories of own fertility journey with Dr Chapman and the LCRH team, which led to Louise and partner Nicky welcoming daughter Mara in 2025.

We have been moved and uplifted by the many posts this past weekend from former patients thanking LCRH in their observations of World IVF Day.

World IVF day is held each year on July 25th. The date marks the birth of Louise Brown, the first baby born through IVF.
The day represents hope, and honors professionals in the field of assisted fertility.

The LCRH team would like to share our own appreciation for our colleagues in the field of reproductive health, as well as our patients, whose determination and passion through fertility challenges is a continuous source of motivation for our team.

Counselling is an integral part of LCRH’s commitment to patient emotional well-being during a fertility journey.

We have a dedicated Counselling Area on the LCRH website (LCRH.co.uk/counselling) where patients can read about our collaborative work with counsellors Natasha, Coral, Sara, and Zoe, learn about the different types of fertility counselling that are available, find answers to the most frequently asked questions received by our counsellors, as well as links to support organisations, book suggestions, and appointment request forms.

Natasha, Coral, Sara, and Zoe each have a page within the Counselling Area, which includes counsellor introductions, details of specialist training and certifications, counselling style and experience, all of which we believe helps in finding a great patient/counsellor match. Jane Holman, Group Nurse Manager, Specialist Fertility Nurse & Sonographer, LCRH London, LCRH Beaconsfield, LCRH Tunbridge Wells

Jane’s nursing experience includes 25+ years within the field of Women’s Health from medical and surgery through to family planning and specialising in Fertility and Assisted Conception. During this time, she has been at the forefront of rapidly advancing reproductive medicine and clinical science.

Working alongside Dr Lynne Chapman at LCRH together they collaborate with leading specialists, laboratories and multidisciplinary teams to provide outstanding personal care for patients at every stage of their journey.
This also includes some of the UK’s foremost providers of fertility therapies including dieticians, acupuncturists and counsellors.

Jane is a member of the RCN Fertility Nurses Forum, The British Fertility Society, previously as a trainer in Ultrasound, and the Senior Infertility Nurses Group.

Today is day 3 of ESHRE, and Marianne is here with a quick recap of the day:

A great day at ESHRE2026. My standout sessions were on tailoring ovarian stimulation, particularly the data on delayed oocyte retrieval in patients with previous fertilisation failure and optimising oocyte competence in POSEIDON (low ovarian reserve classification) 3 & 4 patients. Exciting to see how personalised stimulation strategies continue to evolve and improve outcomes in IVF.

ESHRE is the Annual Meeting of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, and this year marks the 42nd Annual Meeting, held between July 5-8 in London.
