YES ✅ 👇

Our assessments follow NICE guidelines, the exact same clinical standards used by the NHS, and every assessment is carried out by fully regulated, accredited specialists.

But here is the part worth understanding before you begin.

Your report can be used to access support, workplace accommodations, and onward care. And if medication is part of your journey, we can work toward a shared care agreement with your GP, meaning they take over prescribing on an NHS prescription while we support your ongoing reviews.

Where it can get a little more complicated is that GP practices have their own individual policies around private assessments, and shared care agreements can vary depending on your area and your specific practice.

So here is what we always recommend:
🧠 Before you start, have a conversation with your
GP about their policy on private assessments and shared care

🧠 If they have specific requirements, let our team know and we will do everything we can to meet them

🧠 If shared care isn’t possible where you are, we can continue supporting your care directly so you are never left without options

We never want the pressure of finding an observer to be the reason someone doesn’t take the next step.

So here is everything you need to know ⬇️

An observer is someone who joins both of your assessment appointments because they can give our clinicians a picture of what your symptoms have looked like across your life, not just right now. This is a requirement in line with NICE guidelines, and it genuinely improves the accuracy of your assessment.

But they do not have to be a parent or a guardian:

✅ A long-term partner
✅ A close friend who has known you for a long time
✅ A sibling or other family member

They can also join remotely from a completely different location to you, so distance is never a barrier.

If you can’t think of anyone who could fill that role, please do not let that stop you from reaching out.

Talk to our onboarding team first. We will have an conversation with you about how else we can assess you and help you figure out the best next step.

The first step is completely free.

💬 Comment SCREENER and we’ll send the free screening form straight to your inbox.

Here is what the process really looks like from start to finish:

➟ Step one: your free screening form.

Takes around five minutes. Once you have submitted it, a member of our team will give you a call to go through your answers together.

➟ Step two: the free call.

This is your chance to ask us anything. We will gently explore your symptoms with you, answer your questions honestly, and if we think a remote assessment is right for you, we will talk you through exactly what that looks like. There is no pressure to book anything on that call.

➟ Step three: your assessment.

Two appointments, both remote, from home, at a time that suits you. The first is with a psychologist, and the second is with a psychiatrist, who will go through their conclusions with you at the end. Both appointments follow NICE guidelines and are carried out by regulated specialists.

➟ Step four: your report.

Within three weeks of your assessment completing you will receive a full written report. If you receive a diagnosis, you will also get a separate confirmation letter you can share wherever you need to.

➟ Step five: ongoing support.

We do not stop at the report. Whether that means medication support, follow-up appointments, or help navigating what comes next, we stay with you. We are not-for-profit, neurodivergent-led, and we genuinely care about what happens to you after the appointment ends.

The first step costs nothing.

💬 Comment TEMPLATE below and we’ll send you the email template straight to your inbox.

Right to Choose gives eligible NHS patients the legal right to choose their provider for ADHD and Autism assessments.

We know how many people across the North East and North Cumbria are currently struggling with long waits, limited options, and trying to access support while feeling completely stuck in limbo.

That’s why Rose by the Costa Ltd., trading as S E I K Psychiatry, has submitted a proposal to North East and North Cumbria ICB to become an approved provider under the Right to Choose scheme. 💛

If approved, eligible local patients could request access to S E I K Psychiatry through Right to Choose.

If this is something you would like to see available in your area, you can email the ICB using our template and personalise it with your own experience if you feel comfortable doing so.

Every voice helps demonstrate the need for:
✅ More patient choice
✅ Better access to timely ADHD & Autism assessments
✅ More accessible support pathways

📍Tag someone in the North East or North Cumbria who would want to know about this.

Getting diagnosed is just the beginning. Here’s what medication support actually looks like at S E I K. 💛

A lot of people come to us focused entirely on getting answers, which makes complete sense.

But once you have them, a whole new set of questions tends to follow. What happens now? Do I need medication? How does that even work? Who helps me figure all of this out?

We do. And we stay with you through all of it.
Here is how medication support works at S E I K, from start to finish:

✅ If medication is recommended after your assessment, you will begin a titration process. This is where your psychiatrist works with you to find the right medication and the right dose for you specifically. It takes time, and the number of appointments varies from person to person, but we recommend budgeting for a minimum of three to six monthly reviews during this period.

✅ Once you are on a stable dose, we can request a shared care agreement with your NHS GP. This means your GP takes over regular prescribing on an NHS prescription, while you check in with us every six to twelve months for an ongoing review. It is designed to reduce your costs over time and keep your care joined up.

✅ It is important to know that not every GP practice will accept a shared care agreement, and it varies by area. We would always recommend asking your GP about this before you start your medication journey so you can plan ahead and understand what is realistic where you are.

✅ If shared care is not possible, we can continue to support your prescribing directly. You will not be left to figure it out alone.

We know that navigating all of this feels overwhelming, especially on top of everything else that comes with a late diagnosis. That is why we do not just assess and disappear. We stay with you, through the titration process, through the reviews, through the moments where it all feels like a lot.

The first step is completely free.

People say ADHD medication makes you lose your sparkle.

What they usually mean is:
✨ You are not as chaotic
✨ You interrupt less
✨ You are not bouncing between tasks
✨ You are not as emotionally explosive

For many people, it means:
✓ Finishing what you start
✓ Listening without fighting your own thoughts
✓ Less overwhelm
✓ Fewer impulsive reactions
✓ More emotional regulation

It’s not about losing yourself, but more so, losing the parts that made everyday life harder than it needed to be.

Medication is not for everyone, it’s a choice and it requires careful assessment, proper titration and follow up.

If ADHD is diagnosed, medication options are discussed properly, not rushed, and supported with ongoing aftercare.

Being distracted with ADHD does not mean you cannot focus, it means your brain is interest based, not importance based.

You can hyperfocus for hours on something stimulating.

But:
✨ Emails feel impossible
✨ Small admin feels painful
✨ Conversations drift
✨ You forget what you walked into the room for

An ADHD brain constantly scans for stimulation, if something is not engaging enough, your attention moves.
