Tea contains polyphenols plant compounds that can benefit our health which may reduce the risk of developing some chronic diseases.

If you are looking to reduce your caffeine consumption or avoid that afternoon slump try a herbal tea or decaf tea and have it with a nutritious snack dates and walnuts.

Tea is relaxing, good for your gut health and helps attention and focus, can contain less caffeine than coffee and best to have caffeinated tea earlier on in the day.

It was good… then we added blueberry chia jam even better🫐✨

As a nutritionist, I love blueberries for their antioxidant power 🫐
They support brain health, heart health, and help fight inflammation — all in one tiny berry.

Add chia seeds for fibre and healthy fats and you’ve got a balanced bowl giving that sustained energy 💫

Blueberry chia jam on repeat makes the perfect breakfast topping whether you have it with some yogurt and granola, on toast or on porridge it’s nutritious and delicious! It’s also been helping fuelling my runs and I also love a bit of colour and creativity 😋

RECIPE⬇️

Ingredients
-150g of juicy fresh blueberries
-2 tbs of chia seeds
-1/4 cup of water

Method
-Add the blueberries to a pan with water and simmer on a low heat, add the chia seeds and stir.
-Blueberries will begin to thicken to a jam consistency. Add more water if it becomes too thick.
-Allow to cool and add to a glass jar, keep in the fridge.
-Can add maple syrup or some sugar to sweeten it.
-Can also use frozen berries

This is a great way to get more fibre, more nutrition and also flavour.

If you love jam then try making a chia type jam for added benefits.

Save, make and tag in your chia jam creations 💙
