The ParkBathe Rainbow challenge 🌳

If like us you remember the colours of the rainbow as a childhood mnemonic, don’t worry, as this ParkBathe challenge is ridiculously simple.

Go outside and find: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet colours in that order.

That’s it.

As you walk to the shops or on your way home from work or walking the dog in Grangewood park, put your phone away. Walk a little slower. Look underneath things, around things. Scan to your left and right. Look up. Suddenly a route you may have walked hundreds of times contains details you hadn’t seen before.

A berry might give you red, a leaf underfoot might be yellow. Blue could be the sky (if you’re lucky) and if violet turns out to be tricky, you can be creative. We live in an urbanised world so manmade colours are all around us too. The point isn’t to identify plants. It’s what happens when you give your attention something different to look for…

If looking a little closer appeals to you, why not join Kelly and Janet, our lovely community team for a free, slow, guided sensory ParkBathe walk this Saturday 5th September - 11am - Grangewood Park 🌳
We are rolling out the option to just “show up” at our walks now so they become more accessible to everyone. You can still pre-book (via bio), but if you’d rather wait until the day - pop along and meet us at the Wharncliffe/Ross Road entrance to Grangewood park ten minutes beforehand. 🌲🌲🌲

Our volunteers are amazeballs!

This was the third women’s Parkbathe guided walk followed by a Q&A with a local female GP (and of course tea and biscuits).

It was so helpful to have an informal conversation about menopause, all those pesky symptoms, pelvic floor and doing those “squeezes”!

And insight into lymphatic draining too! As Dr sheriff said, looking after ourselves involves a holistic approach, nutrition, exercise, good sleep, hydration and of course doing things to relax - like ParkBathing!

So good to share and connect with likeminded minded women 💚🍃🌳🦋

Harrow, you lucky peeps - ParkBathe is coming your way 🌿

Our first ever West Harrow Park session launches on Sat 12th September at 11am🍃

What is this we hear you cry!? This is not a nature walk, not a walk-and-talk and definitely not a spiritual wander. A ParkBathe walk is practical, science-informed and designed to change the way you experience your local park.

Big claim? Maybe. But after 300+ sessions and nearly 2,000 attendances we know this works.

From September, free ParkBathe walks will run every month in West Harrow Park and Kenton Recreation Ground year-round led by our brilliant new Harrow community team.

Come and try the first one. Give us an hour and see just how different you feel by the end.

Book free (yes! These walks are FREE!) via Linktr.ee/ParkBathe or via bio. DM us if you need help booking, all mobilities welcome, suitable for all adults, small groups only.
