Last weekend for International Day of Charity, we marked the occasion with a Breast Cancer Awareness day here at Amy Woodgate House 💜 Everyone came together wearing pink, and our wonderful chef treated us to some beautiful pink themed cakes for afternoon tea, which went down a treat 🍰

Our residents really enjoyed the chance to take part in something meaningful together, sharing stories, smiles and a lovely sense of unity throughout the day. It was simple, thoughtful, and full of heart 🌸

It’s always special when we can come together like this, raise awareness and show support for such an important cause. A big thank you to everyone involved for making it such a lovely day 💕

We had such a lovely Sports Day afternoon here at Amy Woodgate House 💜

Our residents and staff got stuck into a whole range of fun challenges, and there was no shortage of laughter as everyone joined in and cheered each other on. The blindfolded pegs challenge with oven gloves definitely kept us all entertained, and proved to be trickier than it looked 😂

It was just a really joyful afternoon of everyone getting involved together, sharing smiles and a bit of friendly competition along the way 💜

A huge well done to all our residents and staff who took part, you were all amazing 💜

As summer comes to an end, we’re looking back at some of our August highlights across Gold Care Homes ☀️💜

With plenty of summer sunshine, our homes found ways to enjoy the summer while keeping cool, with ice creams and ice cream van visits proving particularly popular! 🍦

We also put the kettle on for Afternoon Tea Week, enjoyed some well-earned downtime for National Relaxation Day and made the most of the Summer Bank Holiday.

We had a lovely afternoon at Amy Woodgate House when the Mill Cottage Farm Experience came to visit! 🐐🐰

Our wonderful residents had the chance to meet and feed all sorts of lovely animals, including some of the smaller ones who were more than happy to be given a cuddle. We were also delighted to have some of our residents’ families and the local nursery children join us, which made it even more special 💜

There was plenty to see, plenty of animal cuddles and lots of happy faces. A lovely afternoon shared together!

We had a bit of fun with the camera at Amy Woodgate House today as we celebrated World Photography Day! 📸

Our wonderful residents enjoyed trying out the different props, dressing up and posing for some memorable photos. There were plenty of laughs along the way, and we think some of these might deserve a place on the wall! 💜

Last week, we joined in with Afternoon Tea Week at Amy Woodgate House , with a lovely afternoon tea party for our wonderful residents🍰☕️

There was plenty of cake to choose from, cups of tea being topped up and lots of good company around the table. It was a lovely excuse to sit together, have a chat and enjoy a few sweet treats along the way! 🧁🍪

Last Friday, we raised a glass at Amy Woodgate House to celebrate International Beer Day! 🍺🍻

Our wonderful residents enjoyed a refreshing beer, plenty of good conversation and a chance to reminisce about some happy memories from years gone by. It was lovely seeing everyone chatting together and enjoying a relaxed afternoon with friends, with our team joining in too 💜

A simple celebration, but one that brought everyone together and gave us plenty to smile about 😊

What a fun afternoon we had at our care home! 💜

Our Activities Coordinators got everyone involved with beach ball and balloon games, and it wasn’t long before the room was full of laughter and a fair bit of movement. Our residents and staff were kept on their toes trying to keep the games going! 🎈🏐

There were plenty of smiles and some great moments shared together. It’s amazing what a few simple games can do 😊

A huge thank you to the wonderful Knit and Natter Group from the Royal British Legion in Surbiton for visiting Amy Woodgate House with their beautiful handmade postbox toppers 💜

Their creativity and kindness brought so many smiles to our residents, who loved admiring all of the fantastic designs and chatting with the group during their visit. It was such a thoughtful way to brighten everyone's day, and we really appreciated them taking the time to come and see us.

Thank you again for such a lovely visit. We hope to welcome you back again soon 😊

Our wonderful residents at Amy Woodgate House always look forward to the weekly visits from the children at Playtime Day Nursery and this week was no exception 💜

Making the most of the lovely weather, everyone spent the afternoon together in the garden playing table games, chatting and sharing plenty of laughter. It was wonderful to see the friendships between the children and our residents continue to grow, with smiles all round 😊

These special visits are always a highlight in our home and create memories that everyone enjoys.
