There were plenty of smiles around Amy Woodgate House when nursery children came to spend time with our wonderful residents 💜

The morning was filled with chatting, colouring and games, with both the children and residents enjoying each other's company. It was lovely to see friendships forming across the generations as stories, laughter and creativity were shared around the tables.

Our residents were delighted by the children's enthusiasm and energy, and the children loved spending time with them too. It was a wonderful visit that left everyone smiling and looking forward to the next one 😊

We enjoyed such a lovely BBQ to celebrate National BBQ Week last week at Amy Woodgate House the other day, bringing our lovely residents and team together for an afternoon full of good food, laughter and great company ☀️💜

The highlight of the day had to be a surprise visit from some very friendly dinosaurs, who certainly caused plenty of excitement around the home! There were so many smiles as residents joined in with the fun, shared laughs together and enjoyed the unexpected visitors 🦖😊

It was one of those afternoons where everyone was chatting, laughing and simply enjoying each other’s company, making some lovely memories along the way 💜

Yesterday, our wonderful team from Amy Woodgate House was delighted to be part of the Celebrate Chessington 💜

It was such a lovely community event, bringing together local families, businesses and groups for a day full of entertainment, activities and friendly faces. We were proud to host our own stall alongside Emberbrook Care Home , where we introduced members of the local community to life in our homes and chatted all about the activities and experiences we offer 😊

Our raffle and tote bags from Albury Vineyard went down so well, and it was wonderful meeting so many people throughout the day. We also had some brilliant conversations with local businesses and community groups about future visits, activities, live music and school partnerships, which we’re really excited about 💜

Days like this are always such a lovely reminder of the importance of community connections, and we’re so pleased to have met so many new faces while continuing to strengthen local bonds 🌸

We’re really excited to be at Celebrate Chessington today 💜

It’s a fantastic local community event bringing together families, local groups and businesses for a day of stalls, entertainment and activities for all ages, and we’re looking forward to being right in the heart of it.

There were lots of colourful outfits and lovely conversations yesterday at Amy Woodgate House as our team dressed to impress for World Day for Cultural Diversity 😊

Our amazing residents really enjoyed learning more about traditional clothing, hearing stories about different cultures and sharing customs and memories of their own. It was wonderful seeing everyone come together, asking questions and taking such an interest in one another 💜

Days like this always bring such a lovely atmosphere around the home and remind us how much there is to learn and celebrate together.

This month at Amy Woodgate House our wonderful team came together with our amazing residents to take part in National Walking Month. We set ourselves a simple goal of completing a mile together, and everyone played their part in getting us there step by step.

Residents and staff headed out together, with some walking and others supported in wheelchairs, all moving at their own pace and encouraging one another along the way. It all built up to a lovely moment as we crossed the finish line as a team and paused to enjoy some well earned refreshments afterwards ☀️

There was a real sense of togetherness throughout the day, and it meant so much to see everyone involved in their own way. Moments like these are a gentle reminder of how important shared activities are in keeping our residents active and connected, while still having fun along the way 💜

A little friendly competition has been on the cards at Amy Woodgate House as we got stuck into a fun game of homemade swing ball. It was really lovely seeing so many of our wonderful residents getting involved and cheering one another on 💜

There were lots of laughs, a little friendly competition, and plenty of determination, and our residents had such fun taking turns trying to knock the cups down. We always think getting moving feels much easier when it does not feel like exercise, and this was the perfect example. Before anyone even realised, there was plenty of stretching, reaching, and movement going on, all while having a good laugh together 😊

One of our wonderful residents spent some time with us in the office today at Amy Woodgate House , kindly helping to sort and organise paperwork 😊📄

She approached the task with real care and patience, taking her time to make sure everything was in order. It was lovely to see her so focused and confident, and she clearly took a lot of pride in being able to lend a helping hand 💜

What stood out most was how much she enjoyed it. She said it felt good to be contributing, and she shared plenty of smiles along the way while chatting with the team.

A simple but meaningful moment that made a real difference to our day 🌟
