Who are the people who have become family to you - the communities where you’ve found belonging, put down roots and grown together? 🌱

I’d love to hear what chosen family and community mean to you ✨

Walking Together: This year’s theme at feels even more meaningful now that I’m home and reflecting on what we experienced together.

The festival was beautiful in so many ways - full of music, ceremony, wisdom, laughter and connection.

And it was challenging too.

The heat.
The lack of water.
The relentless sun.

We were grateful for the sunshine, of course, but there were moments when its intensity was impossible to ignore.

And everywhere, the land was speaking.

Ground that I remember as lush and green in previous years was dry and parched. The reality of what we are living through suddenly felt very present - not something happening somewhere else, or at some point in the future, but here, now, beneath our feet.

One of the messages I heard echoed by artists, performers and wisdom keepers throughout the festival was that we are living through a time of profound transformation.

spoke of the intensity of this moment.

My mentor Alan Seale uses the words “breaking open” - those moments when the structures and ways of being that have carried us this far can no longer contain what is trying to emerge.

And perhaps that is where the Medicine Festival theme becomes so important:

Walking Together: A Pilgrimage of the Heart

Because I don’t believe we navigate a breaking open alone.

Again and again, the three words that keep coming to me are:

Collaboration.
Community.
Connection.

They have been particularly alive for me over this past year.

In uncertain times, they are what sustain me.

And perhaps walking together doesn’t mean that any of us has all the answers.

Perhaps it means listening to one another.
Listening to the land.
Sharing our different perspectives and gifts.
Remembering that we belong to something much bigger than ourselves.

And choosing, together, what we want to create from here.

We are living through extraordinary times.

So perhaps the invitation isn’t to work out how to walk them alone.

It’s to remember how to walk together. 🌍

Waves of Stillness 🌊

What if stillness isn’t something we have to find?

What if it’s already here - underneath all the movement - when we stop resisting what is?

This year was my fourth time at Buddhafield Festival, whose theme was Waves of Stillness.

Once again, I had the privilege of offering one-to-one shamanic sound journeys with the Old Wise Earth gong, weaving in beautiful earth medicine from the Shamanic wisdom traditions, and meeting so many extraordinary people who carry the Dharma not simply as a teaching, but in the way they live and meet one another.

There is something deeply heart-centred about Buddhafield. A feeling of presence, community and practice woven through the whole festival.

And this year brought another beautiful moment.

Together with my colleague , I stepped onto the Padma stage to open the programme - a stage where, over the years, I’ve sat in the audience and witnessed so many wonderful teachers, musicians and performers.

To find myself standing there this time felt like another small wave in a much bigger journey. A reminder of what can unfold when we keep showing up, doing the work we love and allowing our path to reveal itself as we walk it.

Perhaps that is part of the teaching of Waves of Stillness.

Life doesn’t have to become still for us to experience stillness.

There will always be movement, change uncertainty, joy, grief, beginnings and endings.

The invitation is to meet this wave.

To be with what is actually here.

And perhaps, underneath it all, discover that stillness was never somewhere else.

Where are you being invited to stop resisting what is - and meet the wave you’re actually in? 🌊

There is a technology in ceremony.
And perhaps prayer is one of our oldest technologies.

At the closing ceremony of we gathered around the water 💦 and sang a devotional song - not once, but again and again, allowing it to become a chant, a prayer.

The teaching was simple: keep singing.

Keep the prayer alive. Keep tending it. Keep going even when nothing appears to be changing.

Because that, too, is resilience.

As we sang to the water 💦 the wind began to move. Then came the first drops of rain.

After a day of integration, I walked into my field this morning beneath grey skies.

💦 Rain was falling softly, and above me the swallows were swooping through the air, drinking droplets of water from the sky.

It felt like a continuation of the ceremony.

💦 Water has its own intelligence. It moves through clouds, rivers, soil, plants, animals and our own bodies - connecting life to life.

💦Water is a source itself. It contains the codes.

Perhaps ceremony reminds us that prayer isn’t only something we ask.

It is something we participate in.

Something we embody.

Something we keep singing into the world. 💧

The world may feel chaotic right now.
But every moment we still have a choice.

Fear or love.
Judgment or compassion.
Division or connection.

The wolf that grows…
is the one we feed.

Which wolf will you choose to feed? 🐺✨

Tonight’s Full Moon lunar eclipse is not subtle.

Full Moons illuminate.
Eclipses accelerate.

They tend to bring to light what has been operating beneath the surface - long-standing emotional patterns, relational dynamics, identity stories that feel older than we can explain.

When I speak about “karmic,” I’m pointing to repetition.
The patterns that keep looping. The wound we unconsciously organise our life around.

Chiron - the Wounded Healer - represents this paradox.
The place that hurt us is also the place that deepened us.

Healing isn’t about erasing the wound.
It’s about no longer being defined by it.

Sound can support that process because it works beyond narrative. Vibration interacts directly with the nervous system, often helping the body discharge what the mind has normalised.

If this speaks to you, stay close. I’ll be sharing more spaces this season for deeper release work through breath and gong.
