The final piece of legislation creating the rules the Infected Blood Compensation Scheme will follow is about to go through Parliament.

We, and many in the community, have concerns that these changes do not go far enough to correct the injustices present within the scheme.

MPs are now going to have a debate on the problems with the Compensation Scheme in the afternoon of 18th June. We’ve been working with MPs to try to secure this debate for months, so we’re really pleased it’s finally happening as it’s a chance to hold the Cabinet Office to account. We urgently need your help to make sure as many MPs attend the debate as possible.

Head to our website to find you how you can contact your MP:

MPs on the Public Accounts Committee are looking at how compensation schemes are set up and managed.

They want to hear from people who have applied to a scheme about their experiences. This sadly isn't a chance to change the Infected Blood Compensation Scheme, but it is a unique opportunity to voice any issues you've had with the scheme to an influential Committee of MPs who can hold the Government accountable.

The survey is open until midnight on 10th June:

The memorial service may be over, but the long road to justice and peace is not for so many. We will continue to fight for the justice that all members of the infected blood community deserve.
