Finding where the effort needs to lie for is topsy turvy in comparison to so many others I’ve coached. Imagine having so much freedom you need to reign yourself in and create clear boundaries and guidelines for the larynx on its decent. This vocally naughty kid got the message. Stunning work today. And look at the joy of everything feeling so much easier at the end of the song. Perfection. ✨ Day made. Love you ♥️

Time is flying! This consultancy began simply as Brave Spaces, encouraging us to rally and take back control of ourselves in spaces where we’d felt disempowered or weren’t equipped with the skills we needed in high pressure creative environments. ❤️‍🔥 Using my physio education I gave all I knew to those who were still treading the systems in glorious fashion and coming up against a host of new issues to manage and coach through. 🎹 🧘‍♀️ As each person took empowered steps in the direction of their improved health and facilitation style, the true authentic voice in each person began to arrive in their work places and most importantly for themselves where maybe they’d been lacking before without even realising. 🏡 As the consultancy continues to grow, individuals from complex backgrounds are stepping into my brave spaces to take back their power vocally, physically and creatively. 🎨 This consultancy was never about simply singing or rehabilitation. It’s always been about a way bigger vision rooted in expression of the self whilst also redefining how we create art with artists at the centre. ✨ As this month picks up pace, my own creative environments are full of practitioners desperate to get into the space and simply BE THEMSELVES. 🌟 This is the gift of a brave space. Brave Space Consultancy

I won’t upload here the expletives our Sam gave when he sang freely after a session of hyoglossus release and cord connection control in mid and upper regions - but I will however say how much love I have for what I do, especially when it can help a pal who is carrying the beautiful load of a show on their shoulders. ✨ After a stunning barrage of sound I commented that it sounded like Les Mis in that room
under the Lowry stage where we were vocally exploring. To which he replied ‘and I could do this all day’. ✨ What a gift to give that vocal freedom. ✨
✨ Also heard and embedded from another cast member I was grateful to meet and support ‘wow! Gosh isn’t it incredible when you work with someone who ACTUALLY knows that they’re doing’. Yes. Isn’t it just. ✨
