Happiness Happens Month taught me something I want to carry into September: joy was never about waiting for the big moments. It was already there — in the coffee, the short walk, the unplanned laugh.

As the season shifts, I'm keeping that lesson close. Not chasing the next milestone to finally feel okay, but noticing what's already good, today.

What's one small joy from August you want to hold onto?

You don’t have to have it all figured out.

You don’t have to carry everything alone.

Let yourself ask for support when you need it.

Connection is not a luxury.

It’s a biological need.

We’re wired for community, belonging, and meaningful relationships. Yet somewhere along the way, being “strong” started to mean needing no one.

I’ve seen this especially among high achievers. They can lead teams, solve problems, carry responsibilities and keep going -while quietly becoming more and more isolated.

Self-sufficiency can look like strength. But sometimes, letting people in takes more strength than doing everything alone.

This is something I’ve been thinking about deeply lately. And there’s a reason this topic feels especially personal right now.
More on that soon.

Perfectionism is often mistaken for ambition.
It looks like being reliable.
It looks like being thorough.
It looks like caring more than everyone else.

But sometimes, “I just want to do it right” quietly becomes “I can’t allow myself to get it wrong.”

15+ years as a specialist dentist taught me that some of the highest performers aren’t struggling because they lack discipline.

They’re exhausted because they never feel like their work is enough.

Excellence pushes you forward.Perfectionism keeps the finish line moving.

Knowing the difference can change everything.

Not every problem needs months of reflection.

Sometimes, you need the space to pause, ask the right questions, and look at one thing clearly.

That’s the idea behind Soul Transformation Therapy — one focused session, one specific challenge, and space to find clarity and direction.

Because sometimes, you don't need a longer process. You just need the right conversation.

What’s one thing you've been trying to figure out for too long?

Summer doesn't have to look picture-perfect to be
meaningful.

It's easy to compare your reality with someone else's
highlight reel, but the most restorative moments are often the quietest-and rarely the ones we post online.

Whether you're travelling abroad, taking a day trip, or simply enjoying slower mornings at home, your version of rest is valid.

However your summer looks, let it be enough.

How are you finding moments of rest this summer?

(holiday comparison, no shame, rest looks different for
everyone, burnout prevention, self-compassion, summer
wellbeing, social comparison)

Some of the most productive things you'll do this week won't look productive at all.

A quiet cup of tea. A walk without a destination. Sitting in silence for five minutes before the day begins. We often treat rest as something we have to earn. But in reality, rest is what allows us to keep showing up-for our work, our families, and ourselves.

If you've been waiting for permission to pause, this is it.
What's one small way you can give yourself a moment of rest today?

(permission to rest, rest is productive, burnout prevention, high achievers, self-compassion, doing nothing, wellbeing permission)

We often think self-care has to be big to make a difference.

A holiday. A spa day. A weekend away.

But the habits that protect our wellbeing are usually much smaller-and much easier to return to.

A few quiet minutes outside.
A meal without distractions.
Music that lifts your mood.
Saying "no" without explaining yourself.
Finishing the day just a little earlier.

These moments may seem small, but they're how we gently refill an empty cup.

Which one will you try this week? Let me know in the
comments.

self-compassion, practical self-care, small habits, prevention not recovery)

Have you ever talked through your stress... only to realise you still feel it?

That's because understanding your stress is only one part of the picture. Your nervous system responds in different ways- whether that's fighting back, running away, shutting down, or trying to keep everyone else happy.

Talking can help you recognise these patterns. But lasting change often comes from helping your body feel safe again through breath, movement, and gentle nervous system regulation.

Healing isn't just about talking. It's about listening to your body, too.

Have you noticed how your body responds when you're under stress?

For many parents, summer isn't just about holidays- it's about juggling.

You're answering emails while making lunch. Finishing work between activities. Wondering if you're giving enough to your job or your family.

If that feels familiar, I want you to know this: there isn't a perfect balance to find. There are only daily adjustments, changing priorities, and doing the best you can with what's in front of you.

You don't have to do it all perfectly to be a good parent or a dedicated professional.

Be gentle with yourself this summer. You're carrying more than anyone else can see.

high achieving professionals, boundaries, self-compassion)
