Annual review for 2023: Have just performed some analysis of what business was like in 2023.
Highlights:
* 76% of revenues were for reconditioned stairlifts - no surprise there, as these are priced at about a 50% discount to new stairlifts - value driven customers appreciate what we can offer
* 13% of revenues were for new stairlifts, including an outdoor stairlift
* 10% was for repairs and maintenance - a growing part of the business since the major companies have callout charges more than double what we charge. We also see competitors leaving the London market, partly because of the ULEZ charge.
* Side of stairs: 70% of customers had a stairlift on the left hand side of their stairs versus 30% on the right hand side - wow, this came as a huge surprise!
* Shape of stairs: 68% of customers had straight stairs; 32% had curved stairs - but we are seeing strong growth in the curved market now that we cover so many of the major brands
* Stairlift brands - Acorn and Stannah are dominating, but we have also worked on Thyssen, Platinum, Handicare and Otolift
