When life as you know it crumbles, who leads you..?
For 8.5 years, Australia was my home.
And then, at a certain point in my life, the ground beneath me began to crumble.
The life I knew no longer felt the same. The certainty I had relied on was shaken, and I found myself facing questions I couldn't simply think my way out of.
When life changes in ways you never expected, it's tempting to look outside yourself for answers.
You look for reassurance.
You question your decisions.
You wonder what you should do next.
You might even start looking to others to tell you what is right for you.
And I know oh so well how easy it is to lose touch with yourself in that process I lived this every single second.
But life has a way of bringing us back to a relationship we can never walk away from.
The relationship we have with ourselves.
Because wherever we go, whatever changes, and whoever walks beside us, we are the person we take with us everywhere.
That is why self-leadership matters so much to me.
Not because we should always know the answers.
Not because we should never feel afraid, lost or uncertain.
But because we can learn to meet ourselves in those moments.
To become aware of the parts of us that are afraid, the parts that seek approval, and the parts that desperately want to know how everything will turn out.
To listen to ourselves without letting fear make every decision.
To take responsibility for our choices, even when the way forward isn't clear.
And to build a relationship with ourselves that doesn't depend on everything in our lives going according to plan.
At the end of the day, we are the ones who have to live our lives. Wouldn't it be worth building a relationship with ourselves that we can rely on?
🌿 I'd love to invite three people for a conversation about self-leadership.
I'm interested in hearing your story, exploring what happens when life turns upside down, and talking about how we find our way back to ourselves.
When life feels uncertain, what do you tend to rely on most — your own inner voice, the opinions of others, or a little of both?
