We are thrilled to be supporting the opening of , founded by Conny and Zarig Cooper, offering degree-level training in Chinese Medicine grounded in the classical and tangible tradition whilst adapted to modern clinical practice in the UK.
Miller’s Way Project will be hosting elements of the training, with Chloe and Steve also contributing through teaching and mentorship across the programme.
The college is part of the wider ATS (Association for Traditional Studies) family, founded by Andrew Nugent-Head, one of the most respected Western teachers and practitioners of Classical Chinese Medicine. Andrew .clinic spent almost three decades in China studying directly under traditionally trained doctors educated before the Cultural Revolution, helping preserve and pass on approaches to medicine that may otherwise have been lost.
Andrew’s teaching and clinical philosophy have had a profound influence on many of the practitioners within the Miller’s Way community. Much of the way we think about physiology, structure, movement, observation, touch, breath, and the interconnected nature of the body has been deeply shaped by this lineage and approach to medicine.
What excites us particularly about Roots & Branch is its emphasis on tangible, clinically grounded learning. The college aims to develop skilled and thoughtful practitioners through close teaching, rigorous training, and a deep understanding of both the “root” and “branch” of disease: not only how symptoms present, but where they originate from within the wider system.
We are incredibly proud to be supporting Conny and Zarig in carrying this work forward and helping cultivate the next generation of practitioners.
