Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting a group from Mississippi State University at our labs in BioCity Glasgow!

We welcomed 15 pre-med students and 2 of their lecturers as part of their Global Healthcare Immersion Program. It was a pleasure introducing them to the team at Virax Biolabs and talking about our work in T cell immunology and viral disease diagnostics.

At Virax Biolabs, we love connecting with the next generation of scientists and healthcare professionals - thank you to the students and faculty for such an inspiring and high-energy visit.

Our CEO, James Foster, was pleased to attend a reception hosted by the British Consulate-General Shanghai at the British Centre Shanghai, in honour of UK Government Minister for Scotland Kirsty McNeill MP and the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce delegation.

During the reception, James had the opportunity to meet Minister McNeill and discuss Virax Biolabs’ work on ViraxImmune, our T-cell immune-profiling platform, as well as the company’s continued life sciences development in Scotland.

As a UK life sciences company with international commercial and clinical ambitions, Virax welcomes continued engagement between Scotland, the wider UK and China across healthcare innovation, trade and life sciences.

Great to see the discussions happening at Pivotal Links 2026.

Our CEO, James Foster, and COO, Nigel McCracken, are currently at the event, connecting with colleagues and peers across the research and In-Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) sectors. It has been a busy couple of days focusing on new technologies, sector trends, and potential ways to work together.

Today marks an important milestone for Virax Biolabs.

We are excited to announce positive early pilot results for ViraxImmune™, our blood-based test designed to identify Long COVID and related post-acute infection syndromes (PAIS).

With millions of people globally facing lengthy, symptom-based diagnostic journeys, the need for objective immune biomarkers has never been more urgent. In our pilot dataset, ViraxImmune™ demonstrated encouraging separation between PAIS patients and healthy controls, achieving 88% specificity and a 92% positive predictive value.

This is a promising step forward as we prepare for a larger clinical validation study later this year and map out our U.S. market-entry strategy.

Virax Biolabs Expands Ebola Immunology Portfolio Amid Global Health Emergency

The WHO's declaration of a global health emergency around the Bundibugyo Ebola strain outbreak has intensified demand for vaccine and therapeutic development tools. Virax Biolabs is actively supporting this need.

Our ImmuneSelect Ebola Zaire peptide pool is commercially available; a research-grade immunology tool for vaccine developers and diagnostic innovators. With Bundibugyo emerging as a novel threat with no approved vaccines or therapeutics, we are developing an ImmuneSelect Ebola Bundibugyo peptide pool to support pandemic response efforts.

Vaccine developers, therapeutic manufacturers, and diagnostic innovators requiring strain-specific immunology tools are invited to discuss partnership and bulk supply arrangements.
