💪 Courage Challenge: Don't Check Yet
How long can you tolerate not knowing?
Five minutes?
Let's find out.
This week, catch yourself in one small moment when your brain wants certainty RIGHT NOW.
📱 Why haven't they replied?
🔎 I'll just Google it quickly.
🚪 I know I checked it... but maybe I'll check again.
❓ Are you sure?
🤔 I need to know how this will turn out before I start.
Choose something small and low-stakes.
Then do something surprisingly difficult:
Don't check yet.
Wait five minutes.
And instead of trying to get rid of the uncertainty, get curious about it.
What thoughts appear?
What happens in your body?
How strong is the urge to check?
What story does your mind start creating because it doesn't have an answer?
You don't need to make any of it disappear.
You're simply practising something most of us don't practise very often:
letting a question remain unanswered.
Reassurance can feel wonderful in the moment because uncertainty disappears.
But courage doesn't always mean finding the answer.
Sometimes it means discovering:
“I don't know yet — and I can handle not knowing.”
⭐ BONUS CHALLENGE: If the five minutes pass and the reassurance isn't actually necessary, see what happens if you don't seek it at all.
This isn't about ignoring important information, delaying necessary action or forcing yourself through severe distress.
Keep it ordinary. Keep it safe. Keep it small.
Your challenge this week: leave one tiny question unanswered.
Tell us how you got on. 👇
