May is the perfect reminder that one of the simplest daily habits — walking — can have a powerful impact on our circulation, lymphatic health, and overall wellbeing.
Our lymphatic system doesn’t have a pump like the heart. It relies on movement to keep fluid flowing, reduce swelling, and support immune function. Even a short daily walk can help improve circulation, support venous and lymphatic health, and reduce the risk of chronic discomfort linked to sedentary lifestyles.
For people living with or at risk of lymphedema, venous insufficiency, or circulation-related conditions, movement is not just exercise — it’s prevention and self-care.
This May Walking Month, let’s encourage:
✔️ More movement breaks during the workday
✔️ Walking meetings
✔️ Daily step goals that feel achievable
✔️ Awareness around circulation and lymphatic health
✔️ Preventive care instead of reactive care
Small steps truly create long-term impact. 💙
