We’re delighted to be supporting Irwin Mitchell’s second South Asian Maternal Health Conference.

South Asian women continue to face disproportionately poor outcomes in maternity and neonatal care.

I’m proud to be part of a conference that brings together healthcare professionals, policymakers, researchers and community groups to address these inequalities and drive change where it’s needed most.

🚴‍♂️ Riding for Rory. Riding for CPotential.

On 11th July, CPotential Trustee Kevin Clark will cycle from London to Brighton to raise funds for children with movement disorders and complex disabilities.

Kevin's inspiration is his son Rory, who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at just 18 months old and is unable to walk independently. But if there's one thing Rory has taught everyone around him, it's that determination can overcome enormous challenges.

The confidence, strength and drive Rory shows every day have been nurtured through years of support from the incredible team at CPotential.

Now Kevin is taking on a challenge of his own.

Having only recently bought his first road bike, his training journey has already included back pain, exhaustion and nearly giving up after 11 miles of a 17-mile ride! But inspired by Rory's resilience, he's pushing on.

Every pound raised will help CPotential continue providing life-changing therapy and support for children and young people like Rory.

Last week at the annual conference hosted by British Association of Brain Injury and Complex Case Management in Birmingham, our Director of Partnerships & Communications, Jo Vigilante, had a fantastic time connecting with colleagues from across the sector.

Jo really enjoyed networking, meeting many new people, and building new connections. It was a great opportunity to share ideas and collaborative opportunities, and make some lovely new friends along the way 🎉

What a star!! ⭐ 🎶

Rayan does some of his best standing to 'Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes'! 🎵

When we first met Rayan a couple of years ago, he wasn't able to lift his head from the floor (while sitting) without getting quite upset. Now he's doing such beautiful standing, with Sakshi's support, in his physio sessions. He has come so far! 🤩

It's lovely to see him so happy throughout sessions, showing off to our students and enjoying his favourite music.

Another musical moment from Bella! ✨🎶

Bella thrives in physio, especially when she's given musical incentives, like leading her very own choir! Bella comes up with a phrase and beams when we sing it right back to her (as long as we get it right, that is!). 🎵

Incorporating music into Physio, Occupational Therapy and Conductive Education sessions can be incredibly beneficial for a child's focus and enjoyment. Music often helps to ease a child into new sessions, at a time when they may be feeling nervous in an unfamiliar setting. It is also a useful tool if children become dysregulated during sessions. 🎸
