We are incredibly proud to share that Professor Marios Charalambous, Lead Neurologist at Advanced Vetcare London, our specialist referral service, has published new research contributing to advancements in veterinary neurology.

🔬 The study explores how the canine brain responds to intranasal midazolam, an important medication used in managing seizure emergencies in dogs.

The research identified measurable changes in brain activity within just 1–3 minutes, providing valuable insights that could help shape future research into canine seizure management.

💉 Our vets and nurses take part in rabies vaccination programmes, helping protect dogs and communities in areas where rabies is still a very real threat.

🌍 And we want more of our people to experience veterinary medicine beyond the UK — learning new skills, meeting inspiring people and contributing to animal welfare on a global scale.

About the Role:
You will be the face and voice of the practice - the first impression our clients receive, whether in person or over the phone. Your ability to create trust, reassurance, and connection is key.

Your day may include:
Delivering a five-star welcome to every client and their pet
Managing a busy reception desk with efficiency, composure, and professionalism
Booking and managing appointments using RX Works
Supporting clients with queries, appointments, and medication collections
Processing payments and finance applications with accuracy and sensitivity
Promoting our healthcare plans with confidence and care
Liaising closely with our Vet and Nursing teams to ensure a seamless client journey
Managing administrative tasks including scanning records and handling correspondence

About You:
You are confident, personable, and genuinely love building relationships. You understand the importance of empathy, especially when clients may be worried about their pets.

You will have:
Proven experience in a demanding customer-facing role (veterinary or hotel experience desirable)
A natural ability to engage in conversation, putting clients instantly at ease
An impeccable phone manner that reflects a caring, calm, and professional approach
A “nothing is too much trouble” mindset and a passion for going above and beyond
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
A genuine love of animals — you are truly pet-obsessed
A smart, polished appearance, reflecting the standards of a private practice

Working Pattern:
40 hours per week
Shifts between 7:30am – 8:00pm (day shifts only)
1 in 4 weekends on a rota basis
Share of bank holidays
Must live within 45 minutes of Streatham Hill, SW London

We’re delighted to share that Animal Ark has joined DNA Vetcare as our 50th practice, a significant moment in our journey as an independent veterinary group.

From day one, we’ve welcomed three permanent vets into the team, providing immediate stability and continuity for clients. We’re also preparing for a return to a seven-day service, improving access for pet owners across the community.

Looking Back on 2025: A Year of Growth and Impact 💚 🌟

As we reflect on 2025, we’re incredibly proud of what has been a landmark year for our veterinary family, defined by innovation, expansion, community, and an unwavering commitment to improving animal health and welfare.

This year marked a major milestone with the opening of our first referral centre. Advanced Vetcare will enhance veterinary care for patients, boasting the first MRI in South London and the expansion of Eye Vetcare into London, strengthening our ophthalmology service.

We celebrated a significant clinical achievement at Streatham Hill Veterinary Surgery, completing 1,000 CT scans 💚

Our commitment to round-the-clock emergency care continued with the launch of 24 Hour Vetcare at Old Registry Vets and Briar House Veterinary Surgery.

2025 was another year of expansion, as we welcomed Vet Call Veterinary Surgery, Knotts Yard Vets, Animalism Veterinary Surgery, Westhorne Vets, Winton Lodge Vets Epsom, Winton Lodge Vets Leatherhead, and Tooting Vets to our network of excellence.

Celebrating our people and our impact

We were recognised as Best Vets in London for the fifth year running, Best Vets in Kent for the fourth year running, and ranked as the third best vets in the UK.

Charity and community remained at the heart of DNA Vetcare, continuing our support of WVS and Jai Dogs. Our founder, Dane, was invited to Thailand for the opening of a new WVS hospital and the dedication of a ward in recognition of his efforts.

We loved meeting so many of you at the London Vet Show.

We rounded off 2025 with our annual Awards & Christmas Party, celebrating the achievements of our brilliant teams 💚
