Yesterday Dean asked me who my favourite fitness accounts are to follow.

I named a few… (as well as some that give me the ick)

He asked why I like the ones I do.

My response?

I like raw, honest accounts. The ones with no heavy editing.

Not trying too hard to be funny.

Not overthinking every post.

Just people saying what they think and showing up as themselves.

Then it hit me…

I spend so much time thinking I’m not creative enough for Instagram.

My video & editing skills are sh*t! My photos are awful. My creativity is non-existent.
(I’m a numbers girl!)

Yet the accounts I actually love?

Aren’t that creative.

They’re just real.

So maybe there are more people like me?

Maybe we’re all trying way too hard to be what we think Instagram wants?

When actually, people just want honesty.

A reminder to myself as much as anyone else:

Post more, worry less.

Be yourself over everything else ❤️

I want to be leaner for my holiday so I’ve set a goal to drop 10lbs in 10 weeks

This is what I’m doing:

1️⃣ Lifting 5x a week
This isn’t new - I’ve built my life around it!

2️⃣ 70k steps a week
Again this is just my normal.

3️⃣ 2–3L water a day
Pretty standard - are you seeing the pattern yet? 👀 Most people skip these basics while looking for hacks.

4️⃣ 7 hours sleep minimum
Going to bed & waking up at the same time every day (not just on weekdays) changed the game for me.

5️⃣ Planning social events in advance
I won’t live like a monk - I’ll factor in important events like birthdays etc but my goal will take priority.

6️⃣ Tracking calories
This is actually the main change! Most of the above are just part of my lifestyle. The only thing that varies, is the amount of calories I eat. Because if you’re not in a calorie deficit… it won’t work. Ironically this is the part most people skip!

Nothing extreme - just the basics, done consistently.

P.S Video was taken a few weeks before my last holiday so that’s my inspiration 💪
