When I first started yoga, progress was measured in flexibility and strength.
Then life happened. injuries, stress, the heavy karma we all carry.
My yoga practice had to adapt. I learned that adapting your yoga practice to injury isn’t a setback; it’s a deeper learning.
It forced me to meet myself where I am, not where I wished I was.
The karma of life leaves imprints in the body. If you push through without acceptance, you miss the whole point.
Now, my yoga practice is about listening, softening, and accepting my body’s limits with compassion.
That’s the self-acceptance yoga teaches us over time not by chasing shapes, but by showing up honestly.
If your practice looks different now, you’re not falling behind. You’re practicing yoga for life, not for Instagram.
Acceptance in yoga means letting go of the old version of yourself and honoring the one breathing here today. Meet yourself exactly where you are—every single time. That’s the practice. 🤍
