You can do everything right and still feel like something’s missing.

You get what you wanted, and the feeling you hoped for just isn’t there.
Or it fades fast, and you’re already onto the next thing.

But that feeling is worth listening to.
Usually it’s pointing you toward something more honest…

A life that actually fits who you are and what truly matters to you.

I’ve written and rewritten this so many times. Because it means everything.

We’re overjoyed to share that in November, we’ll welcome our baby boy into the world.

We got pregnant just after our wedding in October 2024.
And then, just before the Christmas that followed, we sadly lost that pregnancy.

What followed was a long stretch neither of us was prepared for.
Investigations. Scans. Tests that kept sending us back for more.
A lot of waiting, challenging news, and very few clear answers.
Months of hoping, and bracing, at the same time.
I want to be honest about how hard that was, because this journey so often stays hidden.

But mostly, I want to talk about my wife.

Because through all of it, I watched her carry things that would crush a lot of people.
She never let go of hope. She kept moving towards what we both wanted, even when the road ahead looked uncertain.

And even while it was costing her, often more than she let most people see, she still showed up.
As a wife. As a friend. For her family.
She never stopped being those things for the people around her, even when she had every reason to.

I admire her more than I could ever express.

My own part was quieter, and harder to name.
So much of it lived in her body, not mine, and there was so little I could do.
A lot of it was just being there. Sitting in waiting rooms. Watching someone I love in pain, unable to take it away.
Riding the same monthly rollercoaster of maybe, and not this time.
Carrying a lot quietly, while trying to be steady for her, and present for others.

I’m not saying this for sympathy, but because a lot of partners carry this silently.
So please know that you don’t need to. Your experience is valid too.

So, with all that said… here we are.

There’s so much more I could say.
Parts of it I’ll only be able to reflect on with time.
But this felt like the place to start.

So if you’re walking a road like this one, or one nothing like ours, our thoughts are with you.
Every journey is unique, and this was only ever ours.

So, wherever you are in life (kids, trying for kids, no kids), you’re not alone in it.

November, our family gets bigger ❤️

This is your reminder, that rest isn’t something you have to earn.

We treat it like a reward for finishing everything first.

But in life, the list is never finished.
There’s always more you could do.

So maybe today, you rest anyway.

Not because you’ve earned it.
Just because…and that’s reason enough.

You can tick every box and still feel strangely far from your own life.

Usually it’s because you’re moving too fast to notice.

Life becomes a series of motions. Get up, perform, achieve, repeat.
And somewhere in the momentum, you stop actually choosing.
You’re busy, you’re productive, you’re functioning, but you’re not really there.

And sometimes it’s deeper than that.
Sometimes you realise you’ve been running hard toward a life you never consciously chose in the first place.

Living isn’t just doing.
It’s being present, and intentional, in a life that’s actually yours.

If something feels off even when everything looks right, it’s worth paying attention to.

Which have you been doing lately, functioning, or living?

There’s a reason you’re avoiding it.

And it’s often not just because you’re lazy, unmotivated, or undisciplined.

Often, it’s because some part of you doesn’t feel ready.

Or safe.

Or clear.

You jump to “I just need more discipline”
because that is easier than sitting with the real questions:

What feels really hard about this?

What feels risky?

What am I fearful of?

What story am I telling myself about it? And how is that impacting my ability to move forward?

Get clear on answers to questions like that,
and soon moving forward won’t feel like you’re constantly fighting yourself….

Start with awareness.

You can have the job, the routine, the life that “works”…

And still feel disconnected.

Not because you’re doing anything wrong - but because you stopped checking in.

This week’s blog is about the subtle trap of autopilot, and what it costs over time.

Have a read and let me know if it resonates.

We talk a lot about growth. But we don’t always talk about the quiet endings that come with it.

Sometimes the hardest part of evolving isn’t what you’re stepping into - it’s what you’re walking away from.

Old roles.
Old identities.
Old dreams that no longer fit.

Real growth often requires letting go before you can move forward.

In this week’s blog, I explore the side of growth we don’t often acknowledge, and why honouring your silent goodbyes might be the very thing that allows you to move forward with more clarity, peace, and purpose.

What are you still tolerating… and at what cost?

→ A job that drains you more than it inspires you?
→ A relationship that feels one-sided or unfulfilling?
→ Habits that leave your body and mind running on empty?
→ Standards that no longer reflect what you actually want?

Sometimes it’s not the chaos that’s the issue—it’s the quiet compromises we make day after day.

We tell ourselves “it’s not that bad.”
But what if “not that bad” is getting in the way of something great?

Ask yourself:

→ What have I been settling for?
→ What’s quietly exhausting me?
→ What would change if I stopped tolerating what no longer serves me?

Because your life is partially a reflection of what you’re willing to accept.

So - Do you like what you see?

Share this with someone that needs the reminder.

You’re the one people rely on.
The capable one.
The composed one.

The one who keeps it together, no matter what.

But if you’ve carried that for a long time, you’ve probably felt the weight of it too.

In this week’s blog, I unpack:

→ Where this pressure to be “the strong one” comes from
→ What it’s quietly costing you beneath the surface
→ Why softness isn’t weakness - it’s wisdom.

Because real strength isn’t found in pretending you’re fine.

It’s found in being honest - even when that feels messy.
