Last week we were delighted to welcome guests to the impressive setting of the Maxwell Library where we celebrated our 40th Anniversary in style. So far, the event has raised an incredible £21,000 and counting! We’d like to extend our warmest thanks to everyone who attended and our congratulations to our high bidders on winning their fantastic auction prizes. Every pound raised ensures Paul's can continue to offer our bespoke, high-quality support services to our community affected by cancer.

*New Workshop for November- Bone Health after Breast Cancer*

Unfortunately, treatments for breast cancer may cause greater loss of bone density, putting you at an increased risk of osteoporosis. It can sometimes feel like yet another thing to worry about after you had hoped it would all be over. It can also be another area where your research can be confusing and contradictory.

Join us next Thursday for this 2-hour workshop where Julie will help you understand your potential risks after your treatment and explore the holistic approach to supporting your bones for your future.

Facilitated by Tina Glynn, a health professional and therapist with a wealth of knowledge and experience in breast cancer support, and a trained cancer-related lymphoedema specialist, this workshop on Tuesday 24th October will cover:

What is lymphoedema?
What are the risks of developing lymphoedema after breast cancer?
What steps you can take to reduce risks?
How lymphoedema is managed ?

*The group is free to attend and open to anyone with a breast cancer diagnosis.*

Please wear comfortable clothes as there will be some movement during the workshop. This group will meet in-person at our Centre in Battersea, London SW11 3QA.

"I have been affected by cancer throughout my life, most recently my mother in law, Yvonne, who succumbed to the disease. I felt that Swim Serpentine was a challenge I’d like to dedicate to her memory. The lengthy training swims are quite taxing but the memory of Yvonne and how hard she fought keeps me going."

Dylan will be swimming 2 miles in the Serpentine on Sunday 16th September to raise money for Paul's Cancer Support. Thank you Dylan, and we're wishing you the best of luck!

And just like that, we're already in September! Beat those post-summer blues in an online exercise class, or try something new and sign up to our four-week breathing & meditation course led by Yoga therapist Sarah Buckland.
Excitingly, we will also be joined by Lucinda Peyton Jones for an EFT (Tapping) workshop to help relieve emotional distress and learn techniques for emotional resilience on Thursday 14th September.
