“The chin diaries”

What started as a joke… Somehow turned into this whole little timeline of her changing. Week by week… less chin, more neck. And the best part — she’s laughing the whole way through.

“LOOK… I’ve got a NECK??”

5.5 stone down… but it’s not even that. It’s how different this feels.

Calmer.

Most weight loss approaches create depletion. Eating less. Pushing harder. Trying to stay in control. It can work for a while. But underneath, pressure builds. And eventually:

Hunger feels harder to manage
Energy becomes less stable
Consistency starts to break

Not because you lack discipline. But because your body is running on empty. The Build → Sustain method shifts this. Not by asking you to do more— but by changing what your body is responding to. That looks like:

→ Not running your body on empty
→ Letting go of “perfect eating” pressure
→ Adding recovery, not just output

Shrinking your body doesn’t fix the pattern. You can lose weight… and still feel: out of control around food, consumed by thoughts about eating, reliant on willpower just to stay “on track”. Because those experiences don’t come from your body size. They come from the conditions your body is operating in. If the approach is still built on:

→ Undereating

This is where most women realise: The issue isn’t that they’re doing too little — it’s that they’ve been doing too much without enough support.

Because you can be consistent… disciplined… fully “on track” and still be stuck in a depletion pattern. That’s what creates the Perform → Collapse Cycle:

You push. You hold it together. Pressure builds. Then your body pulls you back. Not because you failed but because it wasn’t sustainable.

In the Build → Sustain method, this is the shift: We stop trying to force weight loss through restriction and pressure — and start building the conditions your body actually responds to.

→ Ample macronutrients (like protein)
→ Ample vitamins & minerals

And just as importantly:

When your body isn’t getting enough energy, nutrients, or support: Hunger increases Energy drops Food becomes more mentally demanding By the end of the day, it’s not a lack of discipline. It’s your body responding to pressure.

This is where many high-achieving women get stuck in the Perform → Collapse Cycle:

Holding it together all day Then feeling overwhelmed by the evening Not because they’re doing something wrong— but because the method is built on depletion. Weight loss doesn’t require you to fight your body. It requires you to support it.

Many high-achieving women assume night eating happens because they lack discipline. But often the pattern starts earlier in the day. Performing. Holding everything together. Managing work, responsibilities, and expectations. And often trying to manage food perfectly as well. By evening, mental fatigue builds and the nervous system looks for relief. Food becomes one of the fastest ways to decompress. Not because you lack discipline. But because your system has been holding pressure all day.

This is what I call the Perform → Collapse Cycle.

Perform all day. Then collapse at night.
