Endometriosis and the heartbreak of what you don't hear
"I just want to rip my womb out"
"This is destroying my marriage"
"I have had to give up my job due to fatigue what have people done for work"
"Why isn't Endometriosis considered a disability?"
"Why don't people understand that Endometriosis effects the whole body?"
"The bloating in the picture is me looking 5 months pregnant is anyone else like this?"
"My GP won't refer me to an approved Endometriosis centre for treatment"
"I had to go private."
"I am infertile."
"I can't walk today because of the pain"
'They diagnosed fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue with my Endometriosis"
" Does the pill work for Endometriosis?"
"I want to give up today. Does anyone else feel suicidal"
"Trigger warning this post mentions babies""
"I am sorry I won't make it"
"My bladder, ovaries and bowel are all stuck to one another"
The symptoms of Endometriosis and its cousin adenomyosis is a huge amount of disability. It is not a collection of symptoms it is a daily lived reality to navigate effecting every domain of a person's life. The disability is extensive and yet women are fighting every day for minimal support for a condition that acts like cancer.
I want women to feel seen, heard and understood. Alongside my modular endometriosis protocol I teach assertiveness so that women can feel and gain the necessary support that is a vital part of recovery.
